That Necron idea sounds alright though, I like the idea of them stealing some Old Ones technology, could lead to some cool looking units.

no problem tomb, only here to help. Sorry you didn't like my ideas. Also, how is the OD mod not linked to 40k when you're a) using Dawn of War, a 40k game, to make it. And b) you have things like Eldar, Tau, Tyranids, Necrons and the Imperium in it.

In the case of the Necrons, they were enslaved by the C'tan but it could be reversed or changed as long as there's a solid back story to go with it.

I'm pretty tired right now so I'll go over this post again. If anything I've said has ticked you off, it wasn't meant to.

To get a mod team you'll need to update the "news" section of your mod with a "Help Wanted" request or some such. Then, go look on some other Dawn of War mod pages and ask if anyone would like to help out. Make it known that you're creating a mod and direct people to the Opposite Dimension page so they can find out more about it.

Don't over do it though, ask a few times and if you don't get a response then move on. If someone gives you abuse, report them but don't abuse them back or you'll get a bad reputation.

If you're signed up to any other forums then put a link to the OD page in your signature and perhaps start a thread, in the appropriate place, asking for volunteers. If people don't want to help then that's their choice, and there's probably little you can do to change that.

Also, don't take this the wrong way but may I suggest a slight revision of some of the races/ back story in the Opposite Dimension mod. Perhaps, rather than it following the same timeline as the 40k Universe, it could be tweaked slightly. For example, Horus didn't fall to Chaos and the Horus Heresy never happened, with the Imperium as a strong human empire, continuing to expand it's boarders, perhaps beyond the Galaxy.

Or, another potential story is that Horus defeated the loyalists during the Heresy and now rules a Chaos Empire. Loyal space marines are trapped on the Eastern Fringe fighting for survival against the terrible might of Chaos. The Orks could have an Empire of their own in the "North", the Tau Empire may have flourished and occupies a large part of the Eastern Fringe. The Tyranids could have the Galactic South in the grip of their Hive Fleets. The Eldar may have been forced into the Eye of Terror and are succumbing to the lure of Chaos (just like the Hellish Eldar) The Necrotyr could be waging a constant war against everybody, much like they do usually, heh. I'll think about the Necron side of things a bit more.
