Xvid should not be needed with anything past Win7. Also, there should be a hard-save after every cutscean, have you checked?
Perhaps I have missed the point with your mod completely. Other than QoL enhancements, how can you add back “E3” visuals/aesthetic/idea without ReShade or similar? (for visuals that is)
Are you retexturing, remodelling, adding back features removed from this ****** engine itself and if so, how?

Reshade works fine with a 1080. The game does hate bening minimised though.

Fresh OS and installed everything that came with all downloads. The only apps that could be blocking are either Avast or the new Windows Defender.
Was not asked to provide any logs, and Bug Trap was not very forth coming in regard stating what the issue/conflict could be.

I'm a visual tweaker, that is my thing. Without the editor it makes the whole thing pointless. This maybe the wrtong place to say say this, but I could not careless about any bugs reported, early game or later-on. I tweak stuff, nothing more nothing less :)

Hey, I was wondering if any of you good people know of a way to get the SDK working on Windows 10:Creators update.
I’ve tried various compatibility modes but to no avail.
Why would you if it is not required. Add as a non steam game If you'd like others to know what you are playing?

Line 30 of Aactor.ltx reads; "pickup_info_radius = 3" <-Increase to whatever is comfortable for you.
You will need to unpack the db files to change this setting as there is no commandline option for this, but. There is an command for auto pickup of dropped and or arti(e)facts items g_autopickup. Add On or 1 to enable this.

Agreed, this engine had character and is always on my playlist like an old record from childhood.
I do not think you fully understand what the team have done here, not to mention the tools & engine they were working with from the get-go. I personally think they have done an amazing job and full credit should be given.
FPS killers: Grass Distance/Density, Sun Rays, Shadowmap. And some say Grass Shadow, but I cannot say that I've seen a difference FPS wise.
I'd like to say, yes, but it's hard to say. From what is written and what my own eyes tell me, some setting have been retarded to compensate, not nessecerally sun ray related.
Sun ray do now work in DX11 which they neverr did before, for me at-least (no matterr the setting).

Have you tried a starting a new game with your custom values, or were you loading a previous save?
There are two outfit.ltx's that may need to coincide with one another, not to mention the upgrade paths.
This is all speculation on my part as I have not tried.
A 1080 doesn't reach much more than this at 4k, but then again I am using a custom config in conjunction with Reshade + some Argus textures from way back.
There does seem to be an issue with V-Sync, whether it be an Nvidia driver problem or the game. With V-Sync on at times will impede FPS, switch it off and boom back the fps cap (60)
If you happen to be using the High Resolution Font's (For 4K) mod, you should reinstall it.
Agreed, artefact’s do spawn quite often and more often than you may think, nothing special of course but quite the Ruble maker. If in doubt whip your detector out.
