Is there any way to reinstate the English voices?
Yes, they suck. Yes, the Russian is far more authentic.
But given the lack of subtitles, I find it much better to know exactly what the angry man pointing a gun at me is yelling.
I really love the fact that you guys are trying to add flavor to the GLA instead of continuing on with them being yet another generically Middle Eastern insurgent faction with no apparent goals.
But do they move out of the way?
"I **** on the blood-soaked ashes of the fourth wall!"
This is gold. :P
Just going by Battlefleet Gothic, Imperial and Chaos fleets do actually fight rather differently, with Imperial Navy vessels being rather ponderous and heavily-armored, while their Chaos counterparts sacrifice armor for speed and unholy amounts of short-ranged firepower.
Bit of a nitpick, but Hell Blades and Hell Talons are atmospheric fighters. The spaceborne fighters used by Chaos forces are Swiftdeaths, along with Doomfire bombers.
Hearing hints of the theme from The Rock, I think.
I like. Very much reminds me of The Thing.
We need to go deeper...
Looking good so far!
My only concern is that some of the concepts, especially for the Alliance, look a bit too high-tech for the time period. Granted it's your show and you can do whatever you want with it, but if I had a say I'd prefer a more...I dunno, 'deiselpunk' aesthetic. Gonzo technology does have its place, but things like composite materials, bullpup firearms, the Merkava-inspired tank, and the like just seem jarring.
Just my two cents.
And tracking! We need more classic RTS!
Yeah, I think that was known. :/
Well this is in the former Soviet Union...It'd make more sense to have the 'classic' AK variants show up rather than the usual knockoffs.
Tech repair yard of some kind?
Or just a random civilian building.
Honestly, I can see the starvation system getting REALLY annoying very quickly.
Overall concept seems pretty solid though. Cyberpunk revolt against the 1% and their SkyNet army! What's not to like? Getting a rather tongue-in-cheek feel from the whole thing. :P
Awesome concept with the biomods as well. Transhumanism (as well as cyberpunk, natch) is always a fun genre, and one that I'm happy to see more of.
Awesome. Not to be a gushing fanboy, but this seems much more true to the 'spirit' as it were, of the first two C&C games than what we got.
Any plans on making this work with the campaign, or will it remain skirmish/multiplayer only?
IT IS DAY OF JUDGEMENT
Good use of the Freedom Fighters music for the Russian faction. Fits well, thought I hope you don't get slapped by copyright.
Lyrics for the victory theme are interesting, to say the least. Though in fitting with the tone of the mod, I suppose.
Война без конца, (War without end)
и без края. (and without boundaries)
Война без правил, (War without rules)
Боже, прости! (God forgive us)
Going by the logo in the bottom left, the proper pronunciation of the mod using those Cyrillic characters would be 'Rdyadbozh'.
Just found that amusing. :P
Kicking it old school, are we? :P M67 would be a bit more contemporary. Good model, though.
Dungeons of Dredmore: Dred Harder
Seconded. It's always a good bit of immersion when NPCs comment on your class/race, or even open or close doors depending on your choices at character creation.
One thing that really killed the immersion in the otherwise excellent 'Subtlety of Thay' module was when a party member vehemently disagrees with accepting another party member on the grounds that she's a Tiefling, and all Tieflings are untrustworthy backstabbers that he wouldn't dare have near him or his belongings... Of course given that my character in said module was a Tiefling rogue, this sort of lost a bit of impact.
Shut down ALL the garbage mashers on the detention level!
And what was all that **** about Vietnam? What the ****, has anything got to do with Vietnam?
Eventual campaign. y/n?
New zombie models?
For those about to walk, we salute you
