Aliens: Colonial Marines

Game review

A huge disappointment in the Singleplayer campaign. The main characters (Winter, Cruz, O'Neil, Bella, Reid) have been given so much focus to the point that other Marines felt like a liability (once they make an appearance which only happened for like 3 to five times in the entire campaign), and are totally insignificant where in fact the player should FEEL fighting the Aliens as a UNIT of the Colonial Marines. There was so much focus on them in such a way that in the ending, they didn't even go back to save the other Marines still left on LV-426. The campaign was also focused more on exacting revenge on the Weyland-Yutani, which made them more "significant" than the Aliens themselves well in fact, the game SHOULD have more focus on the Aliens (thats why its named Aliens: Colonial Marines) and fighting human mercenaries made the game feel like an awful sci-fi version of Call of Duty which SHOULD NEVER appear in the Aliens Franchise.

All in all, the best way to enjoy the game is just the Multiplayer. It delivers more suspense than the Singleplayer campaign and playing it with your buddies, makes the experience a whole lot better.

The game had many flaws, and its such a huge disappointment for a game that has been in development for SIX YEARS. It had so many potential, but was all put to waste.
