Attack of the Beige!
Hey, sorry for the late reply. While technically possible, I've no experience of coding for the single-player game, so I don't know how feasible that would be. If I find the time I'll look into it, but I can't promise anything.
Preferred the old visual theme over this one, it better suited the time period and was a lot clearer to see what was going on, too.
I have no strong feelings one way or the other.
This epitaph makes me wish my name rhymed with something...
No, it doesn't. Or at least not the last time I checked.
Call it whatever you like. I work on it when I have time.
It rocks. Fnar, fnar.
Voted up, I guess some people don't appreciate sarcasm.
Fair enough, just seemed a little similar from the description. Not that there's anything wrong either way.
Soooo... it's Minesweeper?
Jonny Quest, that's the one.
I know that music from somewhere, and it's going to bug for ages unless I remember where it's from O_o
OMG it's a game played on a computer! They copied Tetris! <_<
"Who put my iron armour in the wash with the redstone? Fffff..."
Nope, it's armour. Go bastardise someone else's language for a change.
I suggest you take another look your own hands. Or see a doctor...
To be fair I don't see that it's any less probable than someone shooting lightning out of their fingers...
After reading the article I feel I ought to point out that this looks much more like an IM Mine than a sequencer charge.
Love how you're uploading pictures of explosives on 11th September. *O&O flees*
Jeb's finally gone insane from fixing the bugs in Notch's code.
Creeper in my Rapture, abandon Rapture.
*facepalms* He means estimated time of arrival. ie, when it'll be released publicly.
I meant with regard to this particular weapon.
What exactly did you do?
My phone is one step removed from a homing-pigeon, and that suits me just fine.
That or a shovel.
Well I voted for being me, but being Notch would be pretty cool. Making loads of money for poorly done game programming? Sounds alright.
Wooo pustules! Just what I've always wanted!
This looks much worse that the original I'm afraid.
Or we might just ignore that and do whatever we want regardless =P
Quantum because you changed the cube by measuring it.
That'd be because it is one of them.
After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I noticed you wouldn't be able to hold it properly, with the magazine being to close to the grip.
I will do as soon as possible. I've done a fair bit of coding, but like with the Webs video I don't have many visual effects to go with them yet, so it's a little hard to tell exactly what's going on, and wouldn't make for a very interesting video.
All I can say is, enjoy your impending C&D notice.
So, those are the models from WoW, not models you've made yourself?
What's with all the extraneous vertices?
No, those are just bots.
I can tell you with absolute certainty that it'll be released when it's finished.
Honestly, I'm not sure how long it will take me. I've still got some of the more difficult gameplay features to achieve yet.
Nothing, I just call it as I see it.
So, you piled a bunch of base JKA effects together and crossed your fingers?
That would be very useful, I need to work out what animations I need first, though.
I've changed the double-drum magazine, the pistol grip, and some of the proportions, and have yet to add a stock. The top rails and the extended section under the barrel are going to stay because I need somewhere to place attachments. Along with additional detailing, simple iron sights on top for instance, it will look more similar to the original design when finished.
I just wanted to upload something to show that I'm working on this again, this does not represent a finished model, obviously.
I'd be worried about failing to get simultaneous release on the booster stage rockets, possibly causing it to topple in flight. Just sayin'.
There's no mac version of fraps as far as I'm aware. The only screen-capture apps I have at my disposal are too CPU intensive for recording games.
Actually that depends on how the model is weighted. On some models that pose will extend two fingers, on others just one.
This is why normal maps exist...
Sizing is (sort of) based on the height of your resolution, so it will always take up the same vertical proportion of the screen. The alignment isn't quite right yet, I need to push it slightly further into the corner anyway.
To be honest, I wasn't really thinking about space efficiency when I packaged this, really I could have made the complete package just over a quarter of it's current size...
Who needs keys when you've got a crowbar?
I'd suggest waiting until you've created more, even if it's just one small section in detail, before you post screenshots, it just gives a better impression.
And learn to create terrain.
Byss, but it changes to one of the maps from part of the "Nina" mod series about three quarters of the way through.
I used to nuke my own bases in Starcraft all the time, most buildings would survive and it could wipe out huge enemy advances instantly.
They seem to have made nukes less effective against building in SCII, but the marker is much more obvious, so it's probably not such a viable tactic anymore.
This video is purely to show off the water. I've spent quite a while prototyping various different methods before settling on this. Since I planned on making water a fairly key feature in this map I wanted to get that complete before building too much more. I'm not going to be adding any natural waterfalls to this map, but I had been considering an aqueduct which could feature something similar.
As for player models, I've only designed a few of them so far, and barely begun work on the first one yet. However once I get going they shouldn't take too long. I'm going to look into how complex it would be to create custom skeletons, so that I can alter the proportions and other features of different models.
Well, it says it's photosourced in the description. Nice to see photosourcing done well for a change.
A base JKA model, someone else's HUD and someone else's map... Nothing more to say.
I'm just making this as a lightsaber addon. With a bit of precision effects work I'm hoping to get the runes to glow when you "ignite" the sabre.
As for the MoD Death Knight class, I already have a runeblade design in mind which is similar, although still a fair bit removed from Frostmourne.
Except I'd made this before the trailer came out. =P
I'd rebuild the reactor dome with patches instead of brushes, the curvature will look much better.
Yeah, I'll that once I've planned them all thoroughly.
This is a separate thing to the self-destruct, after which you can respawn as normal. As for raising the dead, that's going to be ability for a separate class. I'm going to work on a way of finding the nearest corpse within a certain radius, or I might possibly do it from a trace instead.
Anything that's coded in will be MP only, but I might make this available as a thermal detonator effect.
This is going to be a weapon which deals instant damage within the explosion radius, then leaves behind a disease cloud for a few seconds which lightly damages humans who walk into it.
I'm going to combine a couple of those and go with "Frozen Grasp", since it both fits the gameplay mechanic and sounds pretty good.
It's the level where I got repeated shot to death by the turrets...
Only one "R" in "Un'Goro".
Nothing's better than WoW. Or at the very least nothing's more addictive than WoW.
It's under the LOD settings in the properties menu.
Very precise, modellers are going to love this!
Yeah, I think the proportions were a bit off in that version; had a bit of a Frankenstein's monster look going on. I've widened it and make the crown/forehead less square, I'll update this image when I've done a little more work on it.
Also take down any downloads which contain my HUD, I'm not going to allow you to use it for your own purposes, particularly without mentioning that it's not your creation.
Sooo, it's a box map with bad lighting?
Well that depends on what sort of help. I'm busy with my own mods at the moment, and I don't own CoD4, but if it's concept art or something like that that you want, I may be able to help.
Is he wearing eyeliner?
"F.A." : Fun and?
that lava texture is very repetitive, nit to mention the fact that the snow hasn't melted!
Once again, the bloom effect has removed all the definition from the floor texture, it doesn't look like the that in the movie.
That bloom looks terrible. It's horribly overused here and just makes it look blurry.
With this map we're trying to retain the feel and some of the layout that Harnaidan had in the series, whilst giving it a grittier, more war-torn appearance and modify it for the best possible gameplay. Obviously the textures in this particular screenshot are only temporary!
It's actually not very restrictive at all in-game, and I made sure that it didn't interfere with horizontal peripheral vision. Also, as I said in the description there will be more than one HUD, so if you don't like this one you can switch to another instead of sarcastically insulting me when I've given you alternatives which may better suit you.
People still mod WZ2100? Hoorar!
How bizarre... That hat reminds me of the alien from "It Conquered the World".
Aww... should have included the floating rock gardens for Ryloth!
Looks like the dropship from Colony Wars...
Are those ported from Halo?
Tell me, which part of this did you create?
Wow, that's incredible.
Remove that apostrophe!
