alright I admit he didn't use textures from other games, however he is tracing other textures and that's just as bad (and no it doesn't count as referencing, referencing is the act of looking not drawing on top of - if it were we could all be magnificent artists xD).
But the color choice is rather poor, hopefully you can turn away from local coloring soon and work a bit on it mate. Also the colors are very warm and saturated.

Framerate? Does that ring a bell? If you want a reasonable framerate then I suggest you redo that with a lower poly count and start learning to use normals instead. High poly models slow games down a lot, and not just because of rendering but also because of the increased physics calculation (assuming there will be) it will cause.
The thing is, you have no need whatsoever of needing a model with a polycount like that, which may or may not cause problems.
You can use that, however, if the use of normal and bumpmaps are supported in the engine you're utilizing.

I've never seen a mod I wanted to play more (except for neotokyo but hey)
it looks so damn complete and it has a classic and original feel to it
lacks detail and some proper lighting
honestly it looks like one of my first attempts at making a source map
you don't need to have subscription to WoW to use this program
it allows you to fly around freely in the wow world, great for your purpose

but a leeeeetle more detail would be nice :P
but have it as you want i will still play it no matter what
so far it looks like there's a maximum of taking two routes or going back whenever you end up somewhere. Would be nice with some more routes to take and maybe some larger places and more complicated "labyrinths"
Though if you're basing it on a previous pokemon-game (don't really know if you base your terrains on other games) then you could still add some more exciting or complicated routes
But it still looks pretty damn awesome

research and developement is by far one of the best hl2 mods. It's a shame that it isn't recognized for all of it's values and your hard effort.
i would move his shoulders just a tad more up, to make his head seem smaller but wider and more blocky. A round and curvy head doesn't seem evil enough, a blocky look often emphasises an evil look rather than a round and soft look.
get a better mapper... Or even a mapper
