Hassat, this is PROBABLY the last question I ask you before I leave you alone for good and resume my playtime of this AWESOME mod (unless you reply which might lead to more questions XD) but in all seriousness would a widescreen patch work with this game AFTER it has been installed and not BEFORE? And if it works, would you advise for or against it? Or would you not care at all? Thanks
Haha awesome. Cant wait to see it. Don't get me wrong, i like visas way better than the Handmaiden as an overall character, its just that I just want the handmaiden to be a jedi so i can make as many as possible people in the party as jedi to help me out in completing the game. (too lazy to go through everything to make Bao-Dur a jedi :P)
@Hassat_Hunter: I have just recently had visas come into my party. I gained all influence i could with her (through the normal dialogue on the Ebon Hawk describing how she found me, force sight, her master, etc....) and i trained atton to become a jedi. Now i talk to the handmaiden and shes angry with me! Every option leads to either "stay with her then. this is the end between us" or just "this is the end between us"! every time i talk to her shes like leave me be! This is just like if you say to bastila on kotor1 leave me alone! How can i reverse this???? I want her to be a jedi!
Alright I installed it! And by the way, NO MORE LAG!!!! YES!!!! All it was is the computer was overheating wayyyyy too much. So i took a powerful vacuum hose and SUCKED not BLEW the air/dust out of the grilles of the cooling fan. The computer never overheats now, resulting in no more lag! By the way thanks for all the help you gave in order to fix my computer! :))))
Wow. Amazing. Would it make a difference if I downloaded it here or on DeadlyStream? If it does, where should i download it?

Hey hassaat, um apparently all that was causing problems we my comp. heating up ALOT. All I did was vacuum my comp. cooling fan grille intakes and now the fan doesn't turn on at all! I will play the game and see how long I can go without lag. By the way, can you send me a link for the fix for the robes neck area thing where it's brown. I just noticed it. Thanks in advance. :)
When I said that I already added that into my graphics options, I mean that I had it on before your post
@brolee I already added that into my graphics options and that didn't help
Lol then I guess I am stuck forever looking at my game box knowing what could have been XD
Yeah i unlocked my taskbar and that didnt seem to fix it. I lowered all of the settings and enabled v-synch. while it DID take a whole lot more of time to lag, it still lagged. Unfortunately. Any other suggestions?
Do you have any idea why your task bar might have been causing lag?
Do you mean the task bar at the bottom of my hom screen with all the icons with START, date/time, etc.? Or is it the task manager? If it's not, could you tell me which task bar you are talking about? And how to (un)lock it? Thank you
Edit: one more thing, I run the game on my emachines windows 7 home premium 64 bit labtop not windows XP. But could you tell me WHERE and WHAT it is and how to (un)lock it? Thank you.
Sadly, this did not help my lag problem. God, im so hopeless. Thanks for helping btw. :)
Thanks for the help, Mr. Hunter! :)
Alright thank you so much!
Ohhhh ok. Forget my comment "so what do you suggest I do" comment. Now since kotor2's vista fix is just kotor1's mss32.dll, and I dragged the mss32.dll out of the folder and onto my desktop (as a shortcut), dragged it onto Kotor2's mss32.dll, selected move and replace, therefore now I'm basically done?
Since i cant edit my other comment below this one, i decided to reply to yours with a new one. Inside the folder there's a ReadMe file and the actual Mss32.dll file. The readme says all you have to do is drag it to your swkotor2 main directory. well i dragged it to my desktop, then dragged it on top the 2003 mss32.dll and i selected "move and replace". is that all you have to do? Please correct me if im wrong if you can. thanks.
Edit: By the way the mss32.dll in the vista fix folder that i opened with 7zip application says it was modified on 2003-11-26???? windows vista wasnt even made in 2003! so now im confused help me out if you can. if you can't, well i understand. Ill ask somewhere else for help. Its just that no one responds to me on obsidian forums so this is the only place i can ask. Thanks.
I downloaded the 7zip you gave me the link for, and i installed into my program files. I opened up the 7zip file (the file for the application itself) and there are two 7zips with pictures of the icon on them. But BOTH of them are applications. one is called "7zFM" and "7zG". which one is the correct application?
Edit: Well i decided to click on both of them. "7zG" says "specify command" and then below it, "ok". "7zFM" actually opens it up. Then i search my downloads and find the downloaded vista fix in PDF form. do i select it and click "file", then "open"?
If anyone has (successfully installed and is using it) the vista fix for KotOR2 on their computer, can you help me out? I tried downloading it from filefront and it downloads as a FILE instead of a patch (unless it's supposed to download as a file?) and when the download is finished, i click on the completed download to open it, but then my Adobe Reader opens up and tells me the file could not be opened and/or read. The name of the vista fix i tried downloading on fiefront is called: "kotor_2_vista_fix.7z" (without the quotations). Could anyone help me out on how to download and install it? Thanks.
By the way, i HAVE NEVER experienced this type of lag before, and i played both KOTOR1 & 2 before on my labtop months before with no problems. now i decided to play it again with the TSLRCM, by the way the 1.7 mod works really well and it was very well done, great job!, and now all of a sudden it is lagging. (It also lagged before i downloaded TSLRCM so im pretty sure thats not it.) it is also slowing down my empire at war game. once again i have made no major changes to my labtop, so i dont know why it's lagging. any advice? thanks!
Btw here is a description of my abtop
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, build 7601)
System Manufacturer: emachines
System Model: emachines D525
BIOS: Ver 1.00PARTTBL<<<-----No idea what this means
Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 900 @ 2.20 GHz, ~2.2GHz
Memory: 3072MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
one more thing. i have both kotor1 and kotor2. nothing major has happened to my computer but now they lag quite a bit on my computer now. i have played both kotor1 & 2 on my computer and they used to not lag at all. And the way they lag is really wierd too. WHen i open up the game, it runs fine for about 15-20 mins, then it starts lagging for about ten minutes. After the ten minutes, it starts working normally again, for a shorter period of time though. then it starts lagging for the same amount of time AGAIN. it is a form of "on and off" lag i have never experienced before on my labtop. Any advice for fixing this lag. BTW, i already added "Disabe Vertex Buffer Objects=1" to the graphics options and that didnt help. any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks!
Hey Hassat, when do you think 1.8 will be finished and released for download on deadlystream? once it is could you give me the link to download it on deadlystream? thanks
