I am The Evina. I do a little bit of everything from making maps for Cry of Fear and Source games to writing fiction novels to programming and web design and many other things. I like to review Source mods. A perfect 10 is reserved for mods that blow my mind. This is a list of mods I have contributed to: G String (voice acting [announcer]), Aperture Beginnings (voice acting [announcer]), Cry of Fear (creator of the custom campaign "The Hole").

What I like:
- Somewhat interesting storyline, although very confusing.
- Good voice acting and dialogue.
What I don't like:
- Tons of bugs and crashing
- Repetetive level design
- Hard jumps and puzzles
- Constant ear rape
- Screen flashing
- Constant annoying battles with those things

The mod is laggy, buggy, and the puzzles seemed so hard that I had to noclip, god, and notarget throughout the game. This may just be the first version so I might not be in a position to judge it that well.
But the level design was beautiful. So 10/10 for the graphics and design.

An excellent mod and very well designed in nearly every way.

I had to play this game a second time to give it a proper review and understand it a little more.
Voice acting = 10, really good.
Plot = 8, a little artsy and overly detailed for the modern gamer though.
Level design = 8, decent considering it's mostly HL2 content.
Gameplay = 2, very slow walking with flashlight.
Still, this mod feels like it would have been better as a short story/film. As a mod/game it feels out of place.

Short but really fun and extremely well designed. It's an all out slaughter with no allies.

(Review written when this was still a mod.)
This is without a doubt the greatest mod I have ever played to date. It is a total conversion that is the same level of quality as many commercial games. It's what I would classify as a new genre of horror which I would call "horror beauty".
The game is perfectly balanced in its enemies, storyline, puzzle variety, and difficulty. It is extremely terrifying without overusing too many boo moments (which Nightmare House 2 used a whole lot). Also it is genuinely emotional and made me connect with the story and characters. And what makes it even more astounding is that it was done with the GoldSRC engine which I sometimes forgot because of the amazing quality.
It is also one of the most misunderstood mods ever made. The developers and community are well acquainted with depression and anxiety, including its many symptoms such as self-harm. This was made as a horror mod, but it's a lot more than just a cheap way of scaring people, and it's not in any way designed to make fun of those with these problems. It's an insight into the life of those who actually DO experience this, and we should know.
Thank you for a truly amazing experience which I will not forget.

So simple, but very well designed and fun to play.

This is the craziest program that I've ever owned. I hope I can eventually get my money's worth out of it.

This mod actually made me feel like I was playing Portal for the first time again. There were a few too many chambers that I had to figure out, but overall it was top notch quality and very fun.
