I am The Evina. I do a little bit of everything from making maps for Cry of Fear and Source games to writing fiction novels to programming and web design and many other things. I like to review Source mods. A perfect 10 is reserved for mods that blow my mind. This is a list of mods I have contributed to: G String (voice acting [announcer]), Aperture Beginnings (voice acting [announcer]), Cry of Fear (creator of the custom campaign "The Hole").
I know it probably looks kind of... empty. I wish I could show a lot more but I'm afraid of spoiling the story.
"almost completely indestructible"
Until it instantly vaporizes at the touch of an emancipation field...
Thank you. Lag has always a problem for me it seems. :/
I loved Limbo, and this looks fun, but if it is essentially the same type of experience except with a stick figure as the character then I would probably only buy it as free.
Please forgive me if this sounds rude, because it's not intended to be that way at all.
Your work looks incredible, you really nail down the atmosphere and details perfectly. But I'm just curious, how are you doing with optimization? Don't take this in a bad way, but I cut off maybe 8 megabytes of that street map you worked on for me. Sure it was just you assisting me and you probably didn't want to spend that time and energy into that. I really did appreciate that help, really. But my computer is not the latest and greatest, and if a single collab map of yours had to be split into multiple maps which were still each bigger than the average CoF map, then I wonder how I will be able to play this one. Maybe it's because I'm OCD but I'm pretty good at doing tedious things like that. If you need any help with removing unneeded faces or grouping func_walls I'll be here. And I promise I wouldn't sacrifice any detail at all. I hope it would allow you to spend more time on what you do best.
nope
Creative? This trailer was the most spectacular thing I've seen all week. Please shut up.
Just to be certain I finished it, there's only one ending, correct?
That was amazing. Really, it was incredible. There are maybe only a couple other Portal mods that blew my mind like that.
In particular, the co-op part was super fun. It gave me that comforting "you are not alone" feeling and was acted out pretty realistically.
Near the end when I was looking out the vent, I saw something attacking people. I wonder what that is.
I just hope that when it does come that the quality will be excellent like the original.
Thank you. Also, I realized that the word "campaign", although I suggested it, is used more often in simulator games, and I'm not sure if a better word should be used for extra Cry of Fear stories.
- Will the old custom campaigns still work?
- Will they still be included in the game or will they have to be installed separately as mods?
- Will there be a new SDK?
I'm not active on the forums anymore, so I'm sorry if the answers are supposed to be obvious.
I'm considering doing a big update on The Hole to fix some stupid stuff and make it worthy of the new epicness of the game.
There are plenty of mods much larger.
That sounds great. It fits with the Portal 2 theme.
I'm glad you're making progress.
(But I'm really confused about this copyright deal which seems to not make sense to me.)
I am so excited for this mod and have contributed voice acting and moral support, but sadly I'll have to sit out on this. I just don't have the time to do very detailed testing right now.
Art from Tomorrowland? That's amazingly creative and to be honest I love it. I'm really more excited for this mod now.
Or wait until the standalone Steam version in a few months.
I do voice acting for some mods. I might be able to do Gman pretty well or some squad members. For the squad can I get an idea of what they would be saying?
Nothing is new. They just seem to be uploading a lot of old screenshots. This scene is from endings 1,2,3 if I remember correctly.
At first I couldn't believe it was an in-mod screenshot. Incredible!
I was exactly the 1000th tracker. :D
Excellent work you have done on this so far.
I've never lost faith in your projects. I'm sure it's mostly trolls who want to stir up some rage.
Just got this game on a Steam sale. I played it in a day and a half. It was spectacular.
I'm here to provide some more motivation. Keep going and make it good. Ignore the haters who rage quit as soon as they see a bug without doing anything to fix it. I think I might even like it more than Black Mesa. If you need any more announcement lines from me then just ask. I have faith in you.
This guy uploads tons of mods from other sources. I'm guessing there will be a download approved soon or a link provided.
Nice empty open space.
I've always wondered how realistic movements were animated. Thanks for the video.
Please make the Sourcemod the first priority.
Me too. I barely jumped. And the facehead at the beginning didn't even scare me beause the super long walk made it obvious it was coming.
