This mod doesn't kick ***. It DESTROYS it! :D

I enjoyed everything, the atmosphere, the plot, the sounds, the environments, the combat system... I did never imagine the old Unreal Engine could do such wonders.
I had troubles only with the very last battle, the one against the zombies-army (how many there were?... 30? 40?). The framerate literally dropped nearly to 0! - and my pc is pretty powerful. But I suppose there is nothing much to do with so many moving characters on screen.

This is a game I would definitely pay for it! I'll check for every future project by Chicken+RibsCombo.

No wonders it was conceived by Ashkandi, the creator of "Mistake" and "Mistake-1" (HL mods) :D
In my opinion, the monsters are not overpowered at all, neither health items are scarce. Playing and fighting carefully, my health never went below 75% on Normal difficulty (EXCEPT during the battle in the place full of gigantic knives and jumping baby dolls... Man, that was troublesome!).

I appreciated that on Hard difficulty the maps are different and there are new monsters (the walking-female-doll was especially impressive...). Perhaps ammo IS scarce on Hard (I've found only a box of shotgun shells in total), but I've learned how to master the piece of concrete.

Now I go to collect all the Anita's dolls. I still miss two of them.

There is a "legal" cheat to unlock the alternate ending. ;)

In the last level (8A), BEFORE going down the ladder leading to the room with the achievements boards, jump over the protrusion behind you.
Next, facing the wall, standing on the right, jump while watching the ceiling and keep on clicking the E button. There is an INVISIBLE button on the ceiling! If you hear a "click" sound... that's done! You've unlocked 'legally' the alternate ending.
Now you are free to go down the ladder and following the usual path (the difference is: you keep the crowbar, so you don't have to kill the marine guy and are able to break the window).

It's a stand-alone mod. It doesn't "ruin" the standard UT2004 game.
