Hmm, i thought -noprefetch, that is used by default in OGSE configurator, really helps with "out of memory" problems even on not very fast systems..
PS. Atmosfear textures, i mean 1024 and 2048 ones, also greatly increase RAM consumption and problems with memory.
Why don't you include Photorealistic Zone into OGSE as a part of modification?
I think modification should be complete without any "If you want, you may download and install something after". Cause OGSE already contains sounds from Sound Remake, Sky4CE shaders, etc. (e.g. OGSE 0.6.9.3 will contain Atmosfear textures, ...)

It seems that this lightning from discharge don't cast any dynamic lights/shadows/sunshafts or i'm wrong?
If you wanna play with Complete weather and Atmosfear weather, play Complete, but in Complete there is incorrect lightning due to original user.ltx. If you wanna play with Atmosfear and with right lightning and without any lags and crashes, just install Atm 2.1 over "clear" CoP. Except for sQwurm sounds, there is no real exclusive content in CoP Complete, so you can find parts of it in different forums, just read end of Complete manual, there the names of all included mods are written.
It'is impossible to make on SHoC engine. CoP engine will not be used, as Dez said.
Although it's possible to make on SHoC engine, with "fake_" weapons & scripts (like in mod "Night Scopes by Kirag"). But this scripts aren't stable, so i can suggest that in LA you will not see this. Even more there is no night and collimator scopes in old S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
There is a problem with this mod.
Complete Weather, which works on Zaton, requies default user.ltx settings, cause with Atmosfear user.ltx ther will be very dark and incorrect lightning.
Atmosfear, which works on Jupiter and Pripyat, requies edited for Atmosfear user.ltx, cause without this there will be very bright incorrect lightning almost with no shadows.
Do I need to use user.ltx settings from AtmosFear? CoP Complete contains Atmosfear, but there is no user.ltx in CoP Complete 1.0 (rar archive). It means that there will be incorrect lightning in Jupiter and Pripyat, where Atm is used. Maybe there is user.ltx in .exe version?
Not in user.ltx. Place this lines instead of lines with the same name in configs\weapons\w_binoc.ltx.
You can turn it off by indirect way =)
Just rewrite your settings with this:
vis_frame_color = 0.7,0.7,0.7,0.0
found_snd = $no_sound
catch_snd = $no_sound
You will not see the frames (and will not hear any sound of catching NPC).
Maybe you write this command not right? Or maybe people just didn't try to use this command? =)
In our, russian stalker community, all people have this command working in CoP =)
Even if this command doesn't work, why don't you use mod, which disables prefetching, to run CoP Complete? It will help, i'm sure =)
I haven't ever heard that it isn't working. It's not a "ghost" command. -noprefetch works fine in CoP too without any mods. It's easy to see. With noprefetch the game loads faster and the progress bar run faster (cause of no caching resources).
Field "Working folder" must be like this: "C:\Games\CoP", not "C:\Games\CoP\bin".
Right mouse click on shortcut to CoP and select "Properties".
In the field "Object" write -noprefetch in the end.
E.g. it was "C:\games\CoP\bin\xrEngine.exe" so it will be "C:\games\CoP\bin\xrEngine.exe" -noprefetch. Click OK and run the game.

Men, why don't you use "-noprefetch" in command line options for CoP shortcut? It works well in CoP. It resolves all problems with memory and seriously increases performance.
With "-noprefetch" i have played similar mod with heavy textures and CoP Complete, and i have no problems with memory and performance, although i don't use any optimization patches. DX10, Ultra Quality etc. GF9600 512 Mb, 4Gb DDR2.
