I seem to have encountered something odd. I declared independence from the Baccus Empired while having low right to rule and now I can not recruit volunteers from any of my villages. Is this how it is supposed to be or is it a bug?

Right. Except Queens are a little more efficent and organized than a bunch of warlords fighting for Control over the Empire. No matter how many queens/subordinates there are in the collective, they will all be aiming for the same goal.

In the end, like you have said, there will be rogue borg vessels manned by drones separated from the collective. Borg space will fall into chaos. Maybe the Borg Cooperative might even step in and take over the old collective.

I am happy that we are agreed. (Even if the discussion detracted from the original point.)

They will adapt eventually. Will probably take a few decades though, but the pathogen will be eliminated and the Borg collective re-established. Who knows, they might even have more queens. One for every Quadrant.

So, when you have an empire consisting of tens of thousands of vessels and structures, you will take care of any problem at some point. No matter how disoriented your drones are.

Yeah, it's been some time since I've watched Star Trek: The Motion Picture... Also, it is possible for The Borg to assimilate a new species or technology and adapt to Species 8472. Evolution can only stay ahead of technology for so long. Not to mention they can just assimilate those nanobot torpedoes Voyager probably gave to Starfleet when they got back home. Lots of options.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa. Last time I checked, V'ger giving birth to the Borg is not Canon. Though I like the theory. However, as you have said, the Omega molecule exist in a flawless state. Seven of Nine herself stated:
"For 3.2 seconds, I ... saw perfection."
after seeing the Omega molecules stabilize. It is possible that the Borg started out as knowledge-seekers and then started aiming for perfection. The two are not mutually incompatible. Knowledge of the Unique properties of every species and bringing them together is perfection. At least to the Borg. Besides, when you've assimilated everyone in the Universe, who'll be left to say "No you are not perfect".

I disagree. I always thought the main aim of the Borg was perfection. Knowledge, assimilation is just a way to achieve that.

You don't need speed when you are a goddamn hyper-intelligent tentacle monster inside of a heavily shielded, time travelling tank.

Man, I've got to watch Star Trek: First Contact again. Still though, Daleks are regular Time-Travellers. Also, they are exceedingly hard to capture with self-destructs and emergency temporal shifts so on, so on.

Daleks can time travel. Depends on how fast the Borg can assimilate a Dalek.

Nah, aside from the Queen, Voyager really didn't take much off the borg. Quantum torpedoes? Well, humans are known to thrive under threat of impending death. Most military tactics were made by generals that were outnumbered and outgunned and so were weapons. So, it doesn't really surprise me. Aside from that, the only thing Borg Voyager defeated on the show was a Scout.

Hey, look! It's another problem that can easily be solved by reading the README file that comes with the mod.

Seriously though. The installation instructions are right there. All you have to do is double-click the notepad and read it.

All you need to do is build a cube as a first capital. Conquer 3 planets, save up and get another cube. Yeah, maybe more than 10 minutes...

One does not simply defend as the Borg. You go all military, pump out two cubes in the first 10 minutes and then steamroll to enemy capitals. Borg Early game is not about defense, it's about assimilating. And then, you get your economy up while the enemy attempts to recover.

Of course, the dominions may have strong weapons but their ships are also known for their less advanced warp capabilities and maneuverability. No point in having so many weapons if your planet has fallen before your ships get there.

Ah yes, I see what you mean now. The first Miranda were made in the same decade as the Constitution, the Miranda we know and love today got its refit around the time the Constitution class got its one. Apologies, I did not know the Miranda was such an old design.

Though, as far as I know, "The Reliant" is a refit upgraded with FH-11 phaser banks.

Wait... What? The Original Enterprise (NCC-1701) is a Constitution class. Enterprise-C was an Ambassador class, Enterprise-D was Galaxy and Enterprise-E was Sovereign. The Enterprise-B was an Excelsior refit if memory serves.

Anyways, The Constitution class is an old design from the 23rd century while the Miranda is far newer (late 23rd century about 40 years, give or take) compared to it. I'm pretty sure Miranda's even fought in the Dominion war.

Miranda > Constitution.

With Klingons? I think not. At the moment, They are severely underpowered. I am also quite fond of the Rommmies. At least until Klingons get the Dmg boost they need.

The AI does not know how the Shockwave Titan. I hope you don't lose many ships when you go against a player that does.
