Hey guys, I'm the number 10. Go ahead and multiply me. See what happens.
Started a campaign as the Brits a week or two ago. Not going too well, to be honest. India and America seem to be putting up quite the resistance, though this is the first time I've ignored my common sense and tried to tackle both at the same time.
Marathas are useless as allies, they usually do so well but they're getting beaten back in the south by Myshore and to the north by the Mughals. Can't be bothered to support them, as I have my own hordes to contend with without protecting them (at peace with Myshore, so not as heavily effected).
America is proving to be quite the challenge. After grabbing the French territories in the Carribean and some in North America, they requested peace which In accepted, as the Colonies were getting torn apart by the Indians (always the bloody Indians... xD). As you can see on this pic, just thought the first major battle of the War against them, wasn't really hard though my men took a beating. Didn't have enough cannons, really, but I fared alright I guess. Cost me around 4000 to bring that army back to fighting strength, and will march on the Cheroke (spelling? xD) capital when ready.
Europe is pretty quiet. Bloody Prussians are trying to gain naval dominance, but luckily I've managed to keep British honor and destroyed all navies they've sent against me. The United Provinces, my allies, were destroyed so, as any ally would after hearing that sort of news, I prepared to quickly grab their oversee colonies before anyone else xD.
Meh, not my best campaign. India will be a real problem, America is only a matter of time and money. Europe will be left to last, as always lol.
I'll probably update my progress as I go along, but don't hold it against me if I don't >.<
As you can see, loads of friendly fire went on (xD). 100+ dead killed because when I replaced troops with reserves I forgot to turn fire at will off.
Plus that one time when the bloody Scottish (who, by the way, refuse to have bayonets no matter what I say xD) insist on marching right in front of cannons firing canister... *sigh*
Need to fill those two empty slots with more cannons. Once I have 24 cannons in one army (each unit has 6 cannons) like in India, I'll dominate those pesky natives...
xD.
(Btw: Indians had two armies in this battle, hence the hefty 8,000 troops they had xD).
I always invade India first and preferably as soon as possible. Once you get things like Bayonets and Fire By Rank (I think). Their armies are easy to take on. Once you have India, it is easy to create an economic power house there. Funding future endevaours.
Can also be dangerous though if you don't have a big navy, as a few enemy fleets can cut you off from your money. Bloody French.... Just you wait.. Paris is next! (xD)
Yeah, like I said, I usually try and take either America or India first then the other then Europe. But in this game, I thought "Meh, what the hell, lets save time and take both!".
Big mistake. From past experience the Mughals are push overs. Not now :O. Swarms of them just seem to appear everywhere... I've seen two or three 8,000+ armies and I only have one army (not major army, just one general and his troops) so I'm thinking of peace with Mughals, take on Myshore, let Maratha either be killed or kill Mughals, betray them when they're weak and hopefully India will be mine.
America is hard though. So many factions each have their hand in it. Hard to control the outcome of Alliances and stuff.
Yeah, Fire by Rank is a must, as are bayonets. I had both in this battle, invaluable really lol.
Note: Lol, major typo "just thought (fought) the first battle"... Should be ashamed of myself xD.
Btw HH, you play with Darthmod as well or vanilla, or another mod?
'MURICA!
xD
