Hey guys, I'm the number 10. Go ahead and multiply me. See what happens.
Lol, luckily I didn't have a garrison xD.
I meant that you could take an Imperious, for example, and customize it to fit your needs, adding more shields or weapons ect. whereas the Empire would have to stick with the "normal" design.
OOC: You're only "resisting the urge" cause you know I'm right... xD.
IC: *The Captain laughed, looking directly at Nym.*
"No matter how many times I bloody tell you, you still don't understand. Don't know why you wear that armor, you're already thick as it is."
"As for the database, I deleted it. What, you think I was going to let you have it? Damned foolish of you. Now get off my ship."
OOC: I think I realized what you saw xD.
OOC: Lol, outraged by that dodge Furere but luckily Pain's move allows me to accept it, barely.
*Tihr grunted, dodging a blow from Furere but was thrown back as the Warrior punched him in the face. He landed on his back, and raised his hand, a barrier being formed. Furere smashed his lightsaber down, Tihr shouted out in pain, but then stopped the barrier and Force Pushed Furere away. Tihr got up, and Furere charged at him again.*
*Lok appeared behind Furere, and Tihr jumped backwards as Lok attacked. He stopped for a moment, ready to counter any attacks coming his way. His hand hurt badly, and Furere had struck his armor with his saber. Luckily he had survived, but his armor was in bad condition. He muttered a few words in Sith as he recovered, still ready to defend himself.*
OOC: No one jammed our comms, so we could call them in.
Surprise attack overwhelmed most of your forces as you only have 10 AA, opposed to 75 Hawks ambushing you.
I'd like to note that Jolee eliminated all our AA in one strike in a similar fashion.
Just realized he doesn't have Arty, ignore that bit :P
No idea xD.
Maybe it allows you to create custom equipment and modify ship designs? As in, you could customize your fleet unlike others who couldn't? Or something?
Idk lol, I only made the Sith Skill Tree...
*The city notices the scout ships and the gates are shut. Any fixed AA guns are activated, and Imperial troops man the defenses, composing of HMGs and a few fixed Anti-Tank weapons.*
*Vehicles patrol the city, as well as Imperial troopers, waiting for the enemy to make a move.*
*The Hawks changed targets, locking their missiles onto the enemy MAATs and K-Wings. Due to the heavy nature of the ships, the missiles would have no problem destroying them. The K-Wings were in the most trouble, as they had no counter measures protecting them. The Hawks targetting them MAATs sent a single missile on them, to force them to use the Counter Measures, then another once the CMs had been used.*
*The AT-ATs targeted the incoming battle droids, easily destroying them. The AT-AAs had withdrawn behind the Imperial lines, protected by the AT-ATs. Any K-Wings or MAATs that survived the Hawks would be targeted by the remaining AT-AAs.*
*The Artillery continued fire on the enemy positions within the city, bombarding AT-TEs spotted by the infantry in the mountains. Half the AW-DAs fired on the city, the other half bombarding the incoming Federation force, focusing on the Juggernaughts and AT-AEs.*
*The Infantry in the mountains used their long ranged weapons to fire down on the enemy infantry below. The missile launchers were used on the MAAT and any AT-TEs in range. The Spec Op troops descended the mountain covertly, away from most of the fighting.*
OOC: Hawks>K-Wings>MAATs in air combat, as they're more nimble.
OOC: Taking over from Adenn as HH is getting impatient and threatens to bring the GMs in... xD.
Plus we have a Clone Legion present, not a Stormtrooper Legion (Adenn said stormtroopers charging).
Plus MAATs are gunships, they could hardly perform moves like that. Hawks could, as they're smaller gunships, K-Wings might, but IDTs and MAATs are troop transports/gunships and so would not be able to effectivly dodge locked on missiles, in my opinion.
*As soon as the hail of laser fire opened up, the officers and sergeants ordered their troops to get to the ground, and start crawling forward. Some were killed in the initial blast, but the smoke managed to save the lives of many others. The Droids continued firing into nothing, as the Clone Troopers crawled forward, ignoring the mortar fire that rained down on them, it took its toll on the troopers but again, many were saved due to the smoke. They could see the droids firing, revealing their positions to the Clones. As they closed in, the grenades were armed and thrown, and a series of explosions rang out among the droid's positions. The Clone then opened fire, getting up and moving to any available cover, or staying on the floor if none was there, to minimize casualties.*
*The snipers in the mountains switched targets to the enemy snipers on the rooftops, to eliminate them before laying down fire on the enemy infantry.*
OOC: Erm, you don't know it was the Sith xD. No one does, even Yon didn't know he was being manipulated. So I'll just ignore that stuff and respond to everything else.
"These are troubled times indeed. I heard the Kinyen Sector has fallen into conflict between the Federation and Empire. Pirates seem to be everywhere, trade lanes are being preyed upon all over the Galaxy."
"I respect the Mandalorians, do not get me wrong, but you seem to imply we are inept and inefficient. I can assure you, that is not the case. How King Yon became so... Tyrannical, is unknown to us, but we have not had this bad a situation since, hmm, it must be 4,000 years ago, if my history is correct? We know how to stand on our two feet."
"Saying that, we are not fools. We realize that standing together will make us all stronger."
*Kol shakes hands with Ori'Verda, exchanging a few words with the Mandalorians before stepping up to the podium. Nearly the entire population was present, and silence overtook everyone.*
"People of Onderon. We have won our freedom! We have removed the tyrannical dictators that lead us, we have broken free of the chains they shackled us with!"
"And now we march on wards towards a better, and more prosperous future! The courageous Mandalorians heeded our call! They came when no one else did, they did what no one else dared to do!"
"So, to ensure our continued freedom, we shall once again ally with the Mandalorians! They have made a generous offer, and I believe it is in our best objectives to accept it! People of Onderon, what say you!"
*The air was filled with cheering. Kol grabbed Ori'Verda's arm, raising it into the air.*
*The crowd exploded into noise and cheering, as the populace thanked their saviors. Years of cruel oppression had dimmed their hopes and so they gladly accepted the help of their knights in shining armor.*
OOC: AK, I tried to batter Pain at the start but as soon as Pain complained about it both of them ganged up on me >.<.
Pain! We need to complete the circle! KILL FURERE! xD.
IC: *Since everyone was waiting and regaining their strength, Tihr had no need for his barrier as no attack was coming his way. Instead, as he saw Furere charging at him, he created a thin line of barrier, around the height of a foot, and spread it out in front of Furere. Furere, running right into it, would most likely trip and fall, giving Tihr vital time to attack.*
*Lok had sent Lightning bolts his way though, and the first one missed him as it hit the ground nearby. He raised his hand, and a barrier formed, stopping most of the weak bolts as they hit it without too much trouble.*
*But then he lost view of Lok. Realizing what had happened, Tihr cautiously looked around, keeping a basic barrier around him. As soon as he senses Lok reappearing, he put his plan into action, strengthening the barrier and hopefully deflecting Lok's attack, whatever it was.*
*By this time, Furere would be up and so Tihr reached out his hand and used Force Wound on Lok, hoping to cause him much pain, though no major lasting effects, giving him a chance to back away. He had his other hand up to create a Barrier in case Furere decided to charge again.*
OOC: Note I only made the moves I made in the last comment to prevent an immediate attack. Both of you were regaining your energy by this time, with Lok probably regaining it first and Tihr and Furere afterwords. Since you gave me time to rest as well, my former move wouldn't still be in use. I wouldn't keep up a weak barrier full of holes when I can see neither of you are charging at me, so instead I changed my tactics.
My god its a single image. You've got hundreds of really cool looking pics. You're not going to make a fuss because I "stole" one, are you?
*Rool sighed. The door slid open, and Rool was stood in the center of the bridge. His sword was in his hand. He glared at the pirates.*
"Hope you feel good about yourself. You gonna leave us stranded out here? It would be quicker to just execute us. We'll be fired for sure, and then become like so many other people, unemployed and die a long and slow death on the streets of some far away planet. I was an Imperial Captain, dammit. I survived battles that would make you run like the bloody coward you are. I've seen men torn apart in a split second, I've seen the corpses of men, women and children lying in the streets, hell, once I even used the corpses of my own squad mates as cover. Yet you, a lowly, cowardly, pirate scumbag are to be the end of me? Kinda says something about life, doesn't it? Damned unfair."
"I'm not giving you my sword, if that's what you want. No formal surrender here, that only applies in wartime. Take what you want, then get the hell off my ship."
Thank you Praxis for giving me ammo against the Federation!
That small victory has cost you a lot, if mah Imperial Propaganda works. And it will.
See, the great thing about the Empire is that as long as we have an excuse we can kill anyone we want. Civilians helping Federation troops? Empire bombards the city they're in? Easily explained to the public, as long as we asked for them to surrender and if we add "To prevent Imperial casualties" or whatever.
Federation does something like that? They're torn apart.
Damn, Imperial Propaganda rocks! :P
Lol, if God is almighty and all-powerful, he could just skip the negative and go right to the positive.
But for you to say what you just did proves that Religion can easily take away a person's morality and care for other human beings and instead turn them into uncaring monsters, as long as "God is on your side".
You make me sick.
Made this, as the description suggests, to give the Empire a better chance in the air.
The Federation has the Reliance, so I thought a dedicated ground fighter would even things up.
Once this is GM approved, I shall add in more details. It'll officially be integrated into the Imperial Military after the Kinyen Crisis.
I also have plans to add two new units. The Federation has had the opportunity to look at our units and spot our weaknesses and ect. before creating their military, so I'm thinking us doing the same won't hurt xD.
OOC: I thought my portrayal of Yon was enough, typical King having parties, thinking he was invincible ect.
And who am I supposed to execute, eh? xD.
*General Kol came out from behind his cover. Men around him were cheering, jumping, laughing. They had done it. Some, like the General himself, remained quiet, instead looking at the City and seeing the fires, the corpses, and destruction this small and short battle had caused. Kol had known this was the price they had to pay for their freedom, but still was saddened by the loss of life. He sighed, and turned to the Mandalorians.*
"I cannot thank you enough for your help. The People of Onderon are in your debt. May I see your leader? I want to see the man that came to help us when no others would."
*Many things had to be done. General Kol and a few other resistant fighters were forming a temporary government until the City and People recovered. As Corden and Kol walked the streets, Kol spoke.*
"The Republic of Onderon. That will be a first, eh? The Onderonian Monarchy worked for thousands of years, but after this I doubt anyone would want a new King or Queen. You're good fighters, you and your men. I know you're Mandalorians, but I am still very impressed by the support you gave my men. The People of Onderon may be indebted to the Mandalorians, but I am indebted to you, Corden, and your leader of course. If ever you need my help, you need only ask."
*Kol smiled, though only a small one. The corpses he was stepping over didn't incite much joy.*
OOC: I know exactly how to be fair Furere but I have had a lot of time to calmly exercise my Force abilities because no one has really attacked me. Well, now Pain has xD.
*Tihr smirked as Furere smashed into his Force Barrier, readying himself to attack him as he was down.*
*However he saw something out of the corner of his eye. He cursed, and was thrown back soaring through the air, smashing into the arena wall as the lightning bolt from Lok hit him. He grunted, confused at what had happened. He tried to get up, stumbled, and fell down again. Growling now, he got up and created a Force Barrier in front of him, though it was weak and had gaps in it, due to Tihr's lack of concentration. It should, however, get the job done.*
Well you can join in too xD.
You don't have to be good at RPing really, you just need to like the RP universe you're in. The RPing itself comes with time, and rather easily lol.
I thought we were simply doing an event or a fight for a single planet or whatever?
My thoughts were:
We make up a planet, and we all fight for said planet. We all have our bases, our objectives ect., and we just fight to see who wins. Kinda like DoW Dark Crusade, but less factions/possibly less battles.
No fleets. Space battles are not really 40K's speciality. Land battles only, with the exception of a possible Tyrannid Hive Fleet invasion (pain) or Exterminatus (HH) depending on who wins and stuff (if pain is winning, he can eventually call in a Hive Fleet and we can all fight against them, or HH calls in an Exterminatus and we all fight against it or whatever, but that'd be more land than space anyway, I'd imagine).
There are ships, look on the wiki.
Greater Daemons will only arrive if the Chaos faction is winning. My Sorcerer is being controlled by a Greater Daemon, and if I'm the winning faction he'll eventually come out and everyone will turn against him (kinda like the previous Exterminatus/Hive Fleet event).
Adenn can eventually call a WAAAAAGH and we'll have to all fight against him.
It may prove interesting and epic battles, and can allow us to imitate the huge battles in the WH40K universe.
HH: Don't worry, its not as if there really are any "good guys" and "bad guys" in this universe. We'll all be fighting each other.
Furere: I'm also Chaos, gonna be a Sorceror who commands a corrupt Imperial Legion (got an interesting back story to explain it) but Chaos, being Chaos, I'm sure it won't be too hard to spark a fight between us or something.
OOC: Erm, wtf.
I can accept you beating back the Force Slow with your anger, but not the Force Barrier. Force Barrier is physical, so it cannot be destroyed by your anger. Not only that, but you wouldn't even see it coming, especially since you are all enraged right now.
Plus Force Slow isn't only mental, but also physical. Thus you would have less reaction time and strength, also meaning less chance to dodge the barrier.
So, if we're being realistic, you smashed into the barrier, causing you some harm as your own momentum is used against you but more importantly knocking you down.
*He was interrupted as a nearby hovercraft exploded into a ball of flames, the AT-AT having killed a small group of rebels that took cover behind it. Kol muttered something, then resumed speaking.*
"We're only slowing the enemy down. We cannot beat them back. If we do not get reinforcements soon, the rest of the road will be lost and with it my entire force!"
*Kol turned his head away, quickly raising his blaster above the rubble he was hiding behind to take pot shots at the enemy. Although the enemy had been slowed down, the AT-AT was the huge ram piercing through the rebel's formation. Onderonian troops were advancing with it, using its heavy firepower to aid them in their assault. Although this made them go slower, they were easily pushing back the rebel forces, who were outnumbered and underequipped.*
OOC: Rebels are in the Northern Sector, close to the Mandos, not the South.
Btw, you seem to think this is an all out rebellion with rebels isolated and easy to pick off. General Kol grouped his forces (pretty much all, except for those ambushing in the alleys) on the Northern Road, his goal to hold it and stop major reinforcements from reaching the front lines.
And you're using King Yon stupidly. Yon is not the type to go into battle. He sits in his Palace, getting fat, having parties and generally leaves all important matters to his helpers (this is how the Sith easily manipulated him). I don't mind these new forces coming out, but instead have them be lead by the Onderon General, not the King. He's a coward, plain and simple.
*The enemy forces seemed to concentrate on the rooftops and in the buildings, though most of the rebel troops were concentrated on the Northern Road, using the buildings and debris as cover, though avoiding going into or on the buildings.*
*Kol spotted the AT-AT advancing up the road, along with the main bulk of the Onderonian forces. He could see some Royal Guards, but doubted the King himself was present, he wasn't the type. The AT-AT was an old design, but retained its power non the less. Kol swore, he knew he wouldn't be able to hold out much longer against such an assault force.*
*A group of armored warriors ran up to him, Mandalorians. He seemed to joke about the situation, which Kol disliked, but could see his point.*
"You are taking care of the oppressors. I'm General Kol, Commander of the Onderon Resistance. I was the one who called you in. Where the hell are the rest of your men? We need reinforcements now! You think we can hold this road much longer? We're slowing them down, but we've lost at least 200 meters to the enemy, and losing more every second."
OOC: I would agree with Furere that more than "a few grazes" would be appropriate.
Ship hallways are rather small, and don't provide much room to dodge six blaster rifles firing at you. The men may of been "disorientated" but that wouldn't stop them from firing immediately. All they would need to do is fire blindly into the space, as like I said there isn't much room to move around in and six blasters is more than enough to cover the space you had.
So I consider that move far fetched and rather OP, as the EMP would of deactivated any shields too and your HUD. Blasters I'm not sure about, but for the sake of fairness I'd say they'd stay online.
But it isn't as if this event is going to be really important, so we can just ignore that. But don't expect to try and pull something like that off when the events become bigger, you may have an elite team but boarding a hostile ship is not as "easy as cake".
IC: *Captain Rool swore under his breath as his last line of defense was eliminated. How they survived such a trap was beyond him, but then these weren't your typical pirates.*
*The door leading into the Bridge was sealed. He only had one plan left, not really a plan, more like a last stand. Rool was a man of honor, and he would be damned if he lost to a bunch of outlaws such as them.*
Can be used to host the event. Hasn't been used in a long, long, long time.
An actual RP on Warhammer 40K would be nigh impossible, as the universe is too vast (unless we limit ourselves to a few planets, kinda like in DOW2 Campaign) but an event or two should be fine, and rather fun.
Nothing says Epic like Warhammer 40K xD.
Thought you were gonna be the mad sex crazed Slaneesh worshiper?
Thats what you told me on Xfire, anyway xD.
Ten is an awesome number.
