Rather than try and post code fixes, I've uploaded two 7z's to the EDGE team servers that fix both EDGE and Duke it Out In Doom.

These builds are newer than the ones provided in the ModDB download link. These also fix the camera bobbing and the transparency issues seen in the video.

Installation:
Extract to a fresh directory (not over any existing install of EDGE), and make sure you copy your IWAD to the folder. Drag n drop 'dukeout.epk' over EDGE.

Notes:
If you need to get into fullscreen, be aware that there is a bug we are facing with OpenGL/SDL2 that might turn your screen black. If that's the case, force-quit and restart. You can also just start the game in a window, quit out, and open EDGE.ini and change the r_fullscreen value to '1' and your desired resolution. Sorry for these issues, we are working on fixes!

Go into DDFSTYLE (styles.ddf) and change that string to read:
TITLE_COLOURMAP="TEXT_MENU_GREY";

If the issue is still there, uncomment that line with two forward slashes '//'. It should work fine then.

That behavior broke between versions to better the menu system, and it was my fault releasing 3DGE without documenting that. At any rate, try that fix and get back to me! -Coraline, 3DGE author

It is okay, no offense taken! Part of the problem is that 3DGE uses an old version of SDL, and nearly all other ports use SDL2 to manage joysticks. I am in the middle of converting to SDL2, where joystick support is automatically improved and more dynamic.

3DGE has controller support. Plug it in before you start a game, and configure the controls in Mouse / Joystick Options. Joysticks currently do not work with menu selection, but I am planning on rewriting the menu code from scratch.

And look at the top post by JohnnyCee for instructions on enabling music playback.

If all else fails, visit the 3DGE forums for technical support. I will be happy to get you all squared away!

We were barred from including things like a burning cross and other stuff so the web reveal trailer was able to have all of that stuff in it. The actual MGC 2014 live trailer was a little different. We prefer this version because there's so much more packed into it.

Yes, we are building them out of CY figures. Mostly everything you see there has been added to a dummy figurine. Takes about 100 dollars a model.

Idea? There has been a handful of games that have allowed you to smoke. Furthermore, they are edited Blood sprites. Like, alright then, I'll work on completely new sprites (replacing one box in a hand) and then it can be called ours. The code is not from DC at all, it was all rewritten from scratch.

Deal? I'll see if I can replace this shot with a new one -- I'll have a new box sprite done by tonight. Perhaps that was a bit of a rude understatement from myself.

The sprites come from it but the code is all new, so there's not much he can say about it even if he wanted to.

It's a detrimental effect. It will heal the player if your health is low enough, but if it isn't it won't do much other than look cool. I'm adding more sprites in the middle of it so he just doesn't lower the stuff, he actually takes one out and then smokes it. If he smokes more than he should he will begin to actually lose health, very very slowly.

I'm going to reply to this, because we might eventually rework most of Blood's important sprites (weapons, enemies) and they might have a cleaner look but a grungier design. We're kinda experimenting with the stuff now. Make sure to keep up to date on the blog!

The hands are placeholders actually. The reason they are so small is because they are the girls' hands, not Caleb's.

The ghosts as well are placeholders, I plan on replacing them eventually. =)

It'll be a mix of both pixels and polygons. When you're actually playing the game it'll feel a lot scarier. We use ambient sounds, heavy scripting...don't worry. ;)

Yeah...if we have an idea or something we can describe, you can draw out. Like if I give a description of a character or background or such, you can kinda visualize it for us. Imagination is a strong one here. =)

Well, are you good at sprite editing? All of the original Blood weapons...as in their muzzle flashes, general appearance...need to be tweaked a bit to visually look better...is that something you can do?

Both. Just like in real life, you can't always see the rain, especially at night. I'm considering putting mild dynamic lights on the rain drops...maybe white or something, but then it'd look like it was snowing...maybe not...I'll mess with it a little =)

In motion it's a lot easier to see it since it's raining down so fast.
