Monochrome LLC Founder & CEO but probably best known as being the Founder and Lead Developer of the very popular HL2 Modification Zombie Panic: Source.
Please make sure under Library > Tools you have Source SDK Base 2006 installed. If you do not and also lack a source game you can download TF2 free which comes with 2006 as well as 2007. Restart steam again and try once more. If that fails I suggest removing Neotokyo from your steam\steamapps\sourcemods folder and re-installing. Let us know if this helps.
freebird4481: This is all very basic. Like every other mod you'll need a version of Source SDK Base installed. For NeoTokyo you'll need to go to tools under library and make sure you have Source 2006 installed. Once you run the installer you then need to restart steam so it can repopulate. It should now be listed under Library > Games. We apologize for not providing instructions but this is usually common knowledge. I hope that helps.
Link? Also, your point? The price is almost free by today's standards and obviously some thought went into the design. I'm sure there are enough people interested in a bit of nostalgia mixed in with tower defense for their efforts to be noticed and their time not wasted.
Actually each update requires you publish on Desura as it's not on Steamworks. Desura installs to Sourcemods while Steam installs to your common folder like other games released on Steamworks. ZPS still supports both and we publish separately on release.
Would love to see where we placed but can imagine it would be a huge undertaking and not every game has media prepared or could possibly complain of media that was available. Coordinating something like that would be very time consuming and though while I'd like people to see where we placed as did other games I can imagine that time being better spent on the future of IndieDB/ModDB/SlideDB. Course that's just my point of view.
Many mods are inspired by other projects whether game, film, etc. It is not only the inspiration that fans flock to but the hard work the modding community support. Also helps if you actually play the mod and appreciate what's new before judging a game by preconceptions. Still most importantly it's "Player's Choice" and that means they've grabbed the attention and support of more players making it difficult to argue. We all have our own personal preferences, they just had the majority.
As Henley put it it did in fact make top 10 but isn't the first time. It just didn't beat it's previous place so received an honorable mention. Congrats to Third Age once again!
There were only 3 CoH mods much fewer than years past when it was pretty much nothing but Source mods due to the popularity. I'm liking the variety this year. Congrats and looking forward to trying some of these out. Congrats NMRiH for another Honorable mention!
Indiedb.com Upcoming is announced on the 24th. This is nothing new except DesuraNET seems to be a lot more organized this year. Cheers to the team and their hard work.
A fan of both games but I was happy with the runners up and winner in nearly every category. Mark of the Ninja is a blast but of course NS2 being a MP game has plenty of replay value as well once you've finished with your MotN unlocks.
This video shows work done for a promo piece and just happens to be our very first session in the studio. Yesterday we recorded the entire day and are now working on cleaning up animations for in-game.
Done. Keep in mind though with annotation you are pretty limited to what style/scale during timeline and youtube links so not every video is available but most are. Hope it helps track the work :)
Kickstarter is something we are still discussing but FPS's have had poor luck with it and unlike many others we want to be very clear what the funds would be used for and how they benefit those pledging. Appreciate your support!
Have a MoCap studio and a couple of their experienced actors yes :) Trying to tackle the usual Indie issues the best we can on our out of pocket budget :)
Haha thank you! No, this is definitely not a triple A title though I'm sure most of the guys wish we had that kind of budget. All out of pocket Indie. We hope to get it out to you guys ASAP but are avoiding rushed work.
For me it's always been about the setting and a good modern day post apocalyptic setting has a good number of cars and with each environment taking place at a different point in time we get to do a lot of fun stuff with them. The time and work that goes into these assets make them something I love to share.
Still we thought we should share some of the MoCap & SFM this week to show that's not all we're working on. The game is coming along fantastically and we've got a lot of surprises to share throughout December and into the new year.
In other words, I'm selfish and posted what I like to see :D Will be sharing more of what we've been up to soon.
Contagion is a commercial Indie. We have not announced a price yet but like most Indies will be quite affordable. It is not a free mod or a f2p game. Hope that helps :)

Delayed by us. Once posted it was actually up and running very quickly. Don't want the hard working ppl behind ModDB to take the rap.
Delayed post. Was ready on the 16th :)
Wish I could answer that question but all depends on how quickly documents are signed, people respond via Email, and access.
No, it shares 1 similarity. But then again it's free so why should that matter heh.

Мы хотим выпустить в 2013 году
"When?" "We want to release in 2013"

forma.8 looks quite promising.
Looks like a lot of work went into these. Congrats to all :D
Congrats to the top 5. Looks like we have a new trend! Looking forward to seeing these released.

Already got my votes :) Nice work guys!

Shrike, not a bad idea and one shared about another community member. Will get on it.
