Description

Hill 171, place of one of biggest battles of Shumshu island, Northern Kurils. One of disabled Chi-Ha medium tanks visible. Japanese forces try to recapture lost positions on the Hill 171 in 18 august 1945, 14:30 at local time. Soviet naval infantry have only 2 45-mm AT guns and at rifles, but after this counterattack only one from 15 japanese tanks survived...
