Imminently, but unfortunately this website attack has still crippled our forums and is now starting to cause production delays. Timing couldn't be worse really, As we were looking at getting the release candidate together (if this had happened a week later it wouldn't have mattered as much as the release would most likely have been out), so as soon as the forums are back up we should be in a position to complete that and get it released, but obviously until we can fix this attack issue on the website it is hampering our progress. Really quite annoying to say the least.

Yeah, it is quite annoying, especially with the timing, but hopefully it should be sorted and back up again soon, and won't interfere too much with our ability to get 1.6 out to you in a timely fashion, not long now guys.

All BF2142 assets can take a maximum of 8 passengers and crew, with the AT-AT it finds itself in the same boat with 4 crew and 4 passenger slots.

We plan to have both the AT-AT Hoth battle and a quite extensive Echo Base all on the same map with objectives which will help to see the map progress and play out the same way as the sequence plays in the films.

Sorry I missed this until now, a bit late with my response. You need the original game to play this mod, hence why it is a mod rather than an indie game. BF2142 is old enough now to be available in most bargain buckets, so it shouldn't set you back too much to pick yourself up a copy, you can also get it through Steam.

I'm glad you like the look of the gameplay, that is our aim to really put you in the boots of a Rebel soldier or Imperial Stormtrooper. You can't customize your weapons, if you're talking about different skins or attachments etc, but you do have a selection of primary weapons to choose from for each kit, which will usually mean you should be able to find something to match your play style or the tactical situation you find yourself in.

Space battles? We have lots of that, in fact 2 new space maps are due out with the next release, and one of them even features boarding action, which should prove a lot of fun.

Our current configuration for the AT-AT has multiple crew members. One is the driver of the vehicle itself, another mans the main guns, and another two for the two lighter cannons. Hoth will feature both AT-AT and AT-ST Walkers like in the film.

Indeed, all I can really tell you at this point is soon. We want everything fully nailed down prior to announcing the amended release date this time so we don't get any surprises that may cause further delays.

However, it is now so close you can practically taste it.

Our weapons are not locked, they are all available from the get go, you have 3 primary weapons for each class to choose from. The only items which are not available to you immediately are some of the gadgets, these require you to be in a squad of a certain number or more to gain access to them, to help promote teamwork. These are available in singleplayer/co-op matches too, you just need to join a bot squad to gain access to them.

Hi there, do you mean the fact that we have generally 3 different primary weapon selections per kit? That has always been the way that is set up in First Strike. The idea being that this selection method gives you the versatility to deal with most problems that come your way whatever kit you're using, though clearly some kits are better suited to tackling certain tactical situations than others. The exception to this rule is the Officer class, who instead of weapon selection choice has a kit jam packed full of useful squad leading gadgetry such as a wide field scanner pulse, spawn beacon, supplies and deployable heavy blaster. This is not a work in progress, it is just as was always intended.

You mean the Battle of Yavin? Already done, has to be flat rather than a sphere I'm afraid. The Death Star is obviously way too big to be shown in its entirety in a map, so we have developed a section of the surface that features all the objectives needed to give a good representation of this battle. If you look at the movie battle you'll find the majority of it occurs close to the surface anyway.

Jundland Wastes as mentioned in the news update above is an infantry only map at this time, though we would like to add more of the assets and scale of the multiplayer version of the map to the co-op at a later date.

The trailer will be on the way soon, just focused on getting the content completed at the moment.

Hi there, sorry for your issues there. We're currently using the server for testing purposes as we lead up to the next release. We generally have games on at 8pm GMT on Sundays which are our community games, but until we release 1.6 you might want to just focus on the singleplayer portion of the mod. You should see more action and players after that.

It certainly would be awesome, but the complexity of the map, especially generating an AI mesh for the space station interior, would be a bit prohibitive taking a lot of work to do. Maybe one day, but certainly not with the next release.

Just have to get a shedload of live flesh and blood players in there to do it justice.

An interesting looking effect, but I don't think it is quite there yet, and needs a little more fine tuning, as others have noted, it looks a little weird to have a ship destroying explosion result in a debris field that looks almost exactly the same shape as the ship that was just destroyed. That would be a nice starting point perhaps, but then you'd want that debris field to expand and disperse with force as you'd expect from an explosion. It might also be nice to have larger recognizable ship specific chunks among the more generic debris, a booster here, a conning tower there, if you know what I mean.

Well they are yards, so they would be quite orderly, believe me, as you're diving amongst them trying to shake enemy fighters off your tail they won't seem boring.

If you prefer things more random there will also be debris fields of wreckage from the previous battle floating around, so you can do some ducking and diving around those if you like.
