Hello, My name is Tanner. I'm a programmer, who likes to mod and build games in my spare time. You may know me as the lead developer on The Price of Freedom for Homeworld 2. I'm qualified in C++, PHP, and Java. I also have knowledge and skills in LUA and Python. I'm a big Sci-Fi fan, with my favorite works being anything Stargate, Homeworld, and of course, Firefly.

I would love to do a bunch of custom work on the hyperspace effect, but homeworld 2 has a lot of its hyperspace system hard coded into the engine. So, theres not a whole lot you can do with it without making some real messy code modifications. Its worth exploring, but I can't promise awesome results. :/

Havent thought that far ahead, however im thinking of trying out something along the lines of this: You start with a common constructor, and choose a path through research and build. Each path is based on each sub-species' specified ability. Something like that, not sure at the moment.

Well, Kubuntu failed miserably. So I went to Fedora. Fedora was lacking in a lot of areas. Im big on customization, but it was way to much to futz around with. Gnome 3 is actually really good once you learn how to use it

Well, I was never a Fan of GNOME, I do Like KDE. But KDE was always very unstable on my system, so I put up with Gnome. However, Gnome 3 and Unity look pretty good. However im leaning more towards Gnome 3.

I'm going to try to deviate away from the progenitor style for the Tsaraii. So, the newer Tsaraii stuff you'll start seeing are going to be of their own design, similar to the slipgate. This is actually a left-over from an older slipstream variation.

Meaning it's no longer going to be in the starting fleet by default. Shipyards are going to be beefed up into fortress's. Since ships need to be built in larger shipyards. Besides, SInce it only takes 3.14 seconds for a ship to go from one side of the galaxy to another, it makes it possible to make a ship quickly at a depot in orbit, then slipstream it to the front.

That means they need decompiled first off. Second, just right click, open with, choose default program. Click the choose other program drop down. Scroll down until you find Notepad. make sure the "always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is ticked. and press OK. should open with a double click of any .lua file. But you must decompile some lua files first.

the taskbar is already in the game as it is right there. The build menu its a photoshop job of what i might do in game the same ways i did the task bar. in short: lots of coding, lots of photoshop. lol.

yeah the Balance was a problem getting them both up to where they are now. first it was the UNCG that was overrpowered. Then it was the DOL. they are balanced for the most part now.
