Hello, My name is Tanner. I'm a programmer, who likes to mod and build games in my spare time. You may know me as the lead developer on The Price of Freedom for Homeworld 2. I'm qualified in C++, PHP, and Java. I also have knowledge and skills in LUA and Python. I'm a big Sci-Fi fan, with my favorite works being anything Stargate, Homeworld, and of course, Firefly.

Oh no, not to worry, it doesnt. You'll see that things are marked with height lines. Plus movement disks are colored vibrantly.

Thats kinda tricky. Editing Wavefront OBJ files in linux boils down to two programs that really dont like HOmeworld 2.

probably has a specialized event in the game type to handle that. Would be cool to do, but its not a real priority as so much as making the gameplay cooler.

Make sure you patched to v1.1 and it isnt a pirated copy. If your using a no-cd patch, some of them wont work with TPOF. not sure why.

I would love to do a bunch of custom work on the hyperspace effect, but homeworld 2 has a lot of its hyperspace system hard coded into the engine. So, theres not a whole lot you can do with it without making some real messy code modifications. Its worth exploring, but I can't promise awesome results. :/

Yeah I'm trying to force it just be circular, but i think this might be hard coded somehow :/

Havent thought that far ahead, however im thinking of trying out something along the lines of this: You start with a common constructor, and choose a path through research and build. Each path is based on each sub-species' specified ability. Something like that, not sure at the moment.

Well, Kubuntu failed miserably. So I went to Fedora. Fedora was lacking in a lot of areas. Im big on customization, but it was way to much to futz around with. Gnome 3 is actually really good once you learn how to use it

Only problem with that is that some people that I worked with before held the rights to yank it at will, meaning if I finished TPOF, and 5 years down the road, they ask to pull it, i'd have to dig it up, recompile everything, test everything, and then redeploy it. Basically, im not comfortable with people "changing their minds" (which they do, not saying everyone does) but, when I say fair price, I mean fair price. Right now, this is just an outline, if it comes down to it, we'll discuss one on one a deal. Just trying to scare off the trolls.

Well, I was never a Fan of GNOME, I do Like KDE. But KDE was always very unstable on my system, so I put up with Gnome. However, Gnome 3 and Unity look pretty good. However im leaning more towards Gnome 3.
