I use 3ds max and max shows the polycount counted in tris, but labeled as polys and sometimes as "faces". So the polycount I wrote is correct.

First, you can only run the game on a custom firmware.
You cant run this on a ofw (original firmware).
Every (newer) cfw can play this game.

No it's not dead, but we got no coder and we are to busy to make new things for that. Maybe wo continue working in a few months

Quake only supports one smoothing group or it splits the vertices so there's no other choice

The Quake engine is the best 3D-Engine for the PSP
And you can't make models high poly, because the PSP has a very slow cpu :P

For the PSP its no scret. they take the quake mod kurok, their models and maps and make a new mod out of it.
