Hello everyone. Just wanted to share with you my "high detail" artist rendition of the 3089 Overlord and Player Character. This image is a slightly modified version of a steam profile background that I designed. 3089 and the trading cards should be available on Steam soon. Fav.me

Glad to hear you are still updating the game. I will try and keep track of my quests & chivalry points better to determine if they are being lost or if I'm just completing multiple at once & not noticing and see if I can get 35 chivalry. Also sometimes I can't access the quests from the menu until I restart the game so I wonder if that could be related.

One other thing, under stats it says I reached a diamond bridge but it's red under mutators. I reeached one bridge a couple times but I think it was just gold. It will probably unlock the mutator when I actually reach a diamond one.

Good idea, anything to improve feedback would help. If he coughs it would be cool if it was really obvious, maybe a nice sound effect and smoke along with the animation? It's hard to notice what is happening while frantacly trying to stay alive, watching the environment, etc. And since the nature of the game is one false move and your dead it's harder to use trial and error.

Another idea would be to make the environment obstacles real easy until you get the first hit in, that way it would be easier to learn but still challenging. Maybe increase the number of hits to 4 or 5 and maybe it gets a little harder each time? This way there is some progression and development. For me it felt like I just died real quick a bunch of times then got locky and killed him real quick.

I forgot to mention a few other issues... Every so often I get stuck running in place and the environment no longer moves. I can move side to side, jump, activate power ups, etc. Also I'm pretty sure a few quests disappeared without me completing them. Unless I completed multiple quests at once and just did not notice it. I hope I can still unlock everything.

For the boss, I did see the tip in game and used it, luring him to the side and avoiding the fire to get my hit in. I was just not sure if that was the only time I could hit him or not. Trying to manage the boss and environment was hard but I guess that's the point. I was surprised though when I killed him I think in just 2 hits? It's probably difficult to design a boss fight for a new genera.

I apologize, the frame rate issue may have been a fluke. I just tried maxing out all the settings and now it's running smooth! 60 FPS! I have a Core 2 Duo 3 GHz, 6 GB Ram & a GeForce GTX 560 w/ 4 GB.

I hope the game does well, I think it's excellent. I think it's just a matter of getting the word out there.

Awesome game! I love the art style and game play. I have hundreds of games but this one really stands out as unique. At the low price I was expecting it to be poorly done but was pleasantly surprised to find out almost every aspect was top-notch. It is simple and accessible, yet offers challenge, especially with the Knight Endless mode. It also did not take long at all to beat but the endless modes, additional quests and unlocks give me plenty to do for a long time.

I only have a few minor complaints. The boss battle seemed a bit lacking. I died a lot at first but then just got lucky and got 2 quick hits on him & won with a gold medal. I would have liked it to be a little easier to survive but also take longer to win. Also I feel the game could be optimized better. I'm getting low frame rates until I turn off all the advanced options (except text). I am familiar with UDK/Unreal Engine and feel my PC should be able to handle a game of this detail with no problem.

I don't know if you have any plans for expansions or a sequel? I would love to see more environments, levels and bosses added. Multiplayer would rock but I know that might be hard to add.

Swawa3D @ Block Story

Excellent game! I love a lot of the mechanics and the nice blend of crafting, building and RPG elements. The high poly models clash with the block terrain but it did not bother me as much after playing it for a while.

Is there a guide to leveling & stats? It would be nice if the info was clearer in game, like exact details on how much each upgrade will add, the max cap, etc. I feel like I have to invest a lot of time to level up and I'm not sure if I will regret where I put my stats if you can't eventually max everything? I don't think I will have time to level multiple characters.

Also combat feels weak, although I've just tried melee at low levels. The enemies are all super slow and I can easily walk backwards and smack them without taking a single hit. I have to hit them so many times too so it's boring. I would much rather them be more difficult to evade & do more damage to me but then also have them die quicker. It also would be cool to have more action like activly dodging, blocking, etc. Maybe it gets better later in the game and maybe magick and ranged weapons are funner I have not tried them yet.

The block breaking feels really slow. I know you can upgrade it but I'm not sure if I will run out of stat points. I can cheet but that can take away from challenge and fun of the game.

It's an amazing game as is, I'm just trying to provide some constructive feedback in case it helps.

I got some of the bombs to work, the rocket, trigger rocket, ice & nak. They are cool. For some reason I could not get the contact, trigger, directional, or flat to work. I've been following the plans on Build-patterns.wikia.com

I found the save data location in the "version history" on the website:

It does look like it has great potential. I understand it's alpha but it really does not seem clear at all how things work. I can't get any of the bombs to work even though I set them up exactly like what I saw in the videos. I don't know if it depends on game type or if they changed the formations or what. There really need a nice wiki or something. I also can't find a lot of the maps I heard about, like "Protoworld 2". I tried searching by the name and nothing is showing up. It just feels really unintuative overall to me and the documentation is poor. I get that they might want you to experiment but things seem really arbitrary I don't see any logic to the formation setups. In it's current state I could create a bomb from scratch in a game engine faster then I could figure out how to do it in patterns.

I also can't find where my worlds are being saved to, anyone know the location?

I baught the game from IndieGameStand & activated the Desura code & it activated the beta version. The exploding people happened in single player challenge mode. I remember it happeneing around the large land mass with the shark under it and in the buldings to the right of that. It seemed like it was a physics based issue since the parts were twitching all over the screen. Like maybe the physics are set too sensitive? And it seems to only happen when that part of the world is off screen or just as I'm entering that area. I never saw it happen when I was standing in an area for a while.

System Info: Core 2 Duo 3 GHz, 6 GB RAM, Geforce GTX 560 w/ 4GB.

Zombies are cool but I'm pretty sure the version without the zombies is the newer one, the beta or whatever. At least it feels a lot more polished to me. And just to clarify I baught the game, I think you need to buy it to have access to the newer beta. They don't seem really clear about anything though.

Cool game, it has a lot of potential but I have a few questions and issues.

I can't seem to find the "Zombie Fortress" or "Swordfight" game types anywhere?

Do we have to log-in to access the full game we paid for? Does that mean if we don't have our internet connection on or your server is down we are stuck with the free version?

Also for some reason enemies in single player are just randomly exploding without anything even touching them. And even items like my warship just decide to self destruct while they are just sitting there. I know it's beta but it really feels like an alpha with stuff just randomly exploding all the time. Hope it's fixed sometime soon.

I would love to see some sort of penalty added when you die. The way it works right now I don't care at all if I die which really takes away from immersion. It does not have to be drastic or frustrating, maybe it can even be an optional mode. Here are some possible ideas: drop items, lose some research points, add a point system & lose or reset points on death, list the number of times you die somewhere. For dropping items maybe you should not drop worn or slotted items just so it's not too frustrating.

Other than the crashing, the only other major complaint I have is that the combat feels a bit sloppy, mainly the melee. I just feel like I'm swinging away and unclear on if I will hit them or not. Sometimes it seems to hit them when they are really far away and other times they are right in my face & I tend to miss.

One other issue I noticed that the inventory seems a bit glitchey. I have an empty chest that can't be removed because it thinks items are still in it. And one time when I was swapping item stack locations it really bugged out. It seemed like I could clone stacks and other stacks got erased. When I moved a stack it would change into another stack even if nothing was shown in the slot I moved it to.

It's still an amazing game. I can't wait for updates, especially multi-player! This might be one of my favorite games of all time if it's polished up a bit.

This is a beautiful game, love the atmosphere and depth.

It really needs an autosave. It crashes often after I die and I've lost so many hours I really am not sure if I feel like repeating it all over again. I usually get so immersed in the game that I don't think to stop and save.

Some credit cards like "Bank of America" let you make a temporary credit card number to use for a single purchase of a limited amount of $ that you set. It should be easy to setup and figure out online.

Could maybe do hover vehicles that are a block to a few blocks off the ground? Maybe they could hold some storage blocks and have a weapon?

You can use the triggers. Under options Show/Hide buttons select: Show all axes (8 way + POV x 2)

It can be done fairly easily with the free program JoyToKey. For some reason triggers don't seem to be mappable but you can use bumpers to fire, left stick emulates mouse, right stick for WASD, etc. There are not quite enough buttons but you can map the most important ones and jump on the keybaord for the few that don't fit. You also will probably need to crank "Threshold" up a little for the sticks under options.

Is everything moving very slow, all motion or just walking speed? You can upgrade equpment with speed upgrades that makes you walk much faster. The starting speed is a bit of a slow walk pace but I would not call it slow motion.

When I go to online mode the mouse cursor is offset. I actually have to click to the right of icons to click them. This make the icons to the far right of the screen unreachable! This may be related to the text "Jolly Corpse Present" also being cut off on the right side. I wonder if there is an issue with resolution. I have a 1920 x 1200 display but I tried the game in several different resolutions, windowed & full and can't get it to work.

@ Asthota: Try pressing F1 for general help and if that is not enough check out the official homepage: 3079.phr00t.com. It has some videos on the main page, a game guide & wiki link that should help! There also may be some info here on the Dusura forums. Home that helps and let us know if you have any specific questions.

I am working on improving & adding more Character textures and faces so maybe you will like them better. We are pretty well established with the current look and feel though. We are going to add better mod support for texture packs so that people will have more of a choice in how the game looks in the future.

Translation of ErwanOfil's post: "The textures of NPCs / monsters are getting better over the updates. Do not worry (I had the same reaction two weeks ago but there has been an upd and it was much better)".

Did you try turning off "Advanced Graphics", there is a checkbox for it in the launcher. You also could try messing with the "Configure Video Settings". If none of that works I would message Phr00t your system & OS information. Maybe there is a rare bug that needs to be tracked down and fixed.

We made improvements to the UV mapping (the way textures fit on 3D objects) so new textures were required. We also wanted to develop a style that was unique to 3079 and make the different races more distinguishable. I am working on improving the textures and adding more in the near future. Anyone can modify the textures for their copy of the game and we plan on adding better support for texture packs in the future so that the look will be more customizable.
