After my first experience with online games in 2000 I've build up and successfully ran several large online clans. In 2001 climbed up the ladder in Starlancer and managed to become one of the most successful players worldwide in that game aswell as leader of the largest clan. Since that I stuck to the Sci-fi game genre. In 2002 the SWAT Portal was founded and since that I am leading this Sci-fi Game Portal that supports a large range of games. One of these games is Freelancer. Not long after its release in 2003 I've started modding the game (my modding experiences with other games reach back to 1993 where I've created my first work). Until now I've created 4 Freelancer mods and assisted countless of other Mod projects. The Crossfire Mod which is currently my main project keeps holding the Top position of the Freelancer mods for several years. Most important for me is the success of the SWAT Community and its members aswell as professional work.
the chars and the account are ok
must be firewall or something like that
try to load an older mission savegame
hard to tell whats wrong without further information such as the char name
as you said... it worked before and we didnt do any changes on the mod
actually there is only one active topic about it and the problem was either graphic card errors (namely texture size limit) or missing files on the client PCs
never heard of that before
maybe its best to ask on the CF forum (www.swat-portal.com) about it, probably somebody else had this problem before
you can play it offline but some stuff is only available on the server
the new campaign starts right after the old one
we keep that a surprise
a large number of ships will be replaced with better looking models, clearly not all
i assume you try openSP
run the openSPfix.cmd located inside the Freelancer folder, that will solve the problem
correct
run the installer as administrator
what we can tell is that you very likely wont have to wait till the end of this year as we expect to finish most of the work within the next few months
this year
no, thats impossible
lovely
something similar
development will continue after the Crossfire release... until that you will have to wait.
about when the work is done
no, coz its not even logical to do that
Point is that this is a community mod written for the users of the SWAT Portal. Creating a LAN option just takes us alot of time and resources without any benefit for the mod, the community and this project.
Our motivation to work on LAN support is pretty low especially since it makes the main server vulnerable to corrupt or asyncron client versions.
why dont you play on the official server instead?
they are
only major stations and planets have docking moors for cap ships
dunno
if we have alot of free time to work on it
LAN is not support since it is unlikely that you can synchronize 2 LAN PCs with each other on a mod with dynamic universe and dynamic economy.
Your game can only be in the language that you have installed (or if that language is different from english the mod might turn it to english).
To install the 1.1 patch is not needed (especially since it is a pure server patch) and installing it after the Crossfire installation for sure will damage the mod.
Yes, and thats exactly how its meant to be.
The server is also fine. Problem must be your connection.
Gamedata files do not exist. The CF server software does not need such relicts.
