If you dont know what steam is, then you probably shouldnt have to worry about it :P
It is a game store/community/launcher that is free to use. The steam installation is only important if you bought medieval 2 over steam and since you didnt know what steam was you probably didnt do this ;P

there are some submods out on TWC that lets you use sauron in the campaign if you obtain the ring as mordor.

there is a big difference between Denmark-Norway and the Kalmar union.

Denmark-Norway was a union between Denmark and Norway and did not include Sweden. The Kalmar union was a union between Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Denmark-Norway existed until after the napoleonic wars when Denmark ceded Norway to Sweden after Napoleons defeat.

i dont know very much about numenor, but angmar was controlled by the witch king and he is currently being controlled by sauron so i dont think that could happen.

yep and it is extremely annoying. i lose all my armies to the annoying cheat armies of mordor. they could have removed the olog-hai from the cheat armies if you ask me.

yes it is actually very good(the ai) but it also gets alot of help from the modders because it gets additional armies and stuff when they are struggling. i started a new campaign recently and unfortunately i forgot about this and suddenly my best army had been defeated and the king and his oldest heir were both dead :P

no the shields of rhun are the best :D

and it will overwrite all the old stuff so that it doesnt add 3 new gigs to your precious harddisk :D

this mod is great.

i remember the first time i laid siege to moria. i was playing as the dwarves and was on a mission to reclaim our lost home and suddenly a video pops up and says that an attack on the gates of moria has awakened some balrogs who were living in the darkest and deepest areas within the ancient city. in the battle i used half my army just to take them down :P
