Great :)
I'm pretty sure if,the built-in water in Unity was used-there are ripples.Just need to get closer to see them...am I right?
Honestly, I like it slightly over exaggerated..I'v seen too many games try to be too realistic and end up with dull materials etc. this gives it a sense of what our mind enjoys and not what it HAS to look like...haha hope I'm making sense...
Well,we first want to complete as many models as we can (For testing etc. etc.) however,we have yet to texture the models so far,If by then most of the models are done we would be able to texture them etc. so it's all about how much we can get done before the prototype release...
Calm down.I understand what your saying.howver be advised I've on been using blender for a while, usually I use 3ds however, like I've stated before-I'm learning something new in blender everyday,so thanks for the assistance like having a decent amount of multires however,I do not over do it....I'll be sure to use smooth shading now.Thanks.
I'll be doing more, this was one of the first graphics I've done..I'll be designing logo's as well then modeling and animation it...
...."Smooth" is not an option in blender unless I add multires, which would cause greater lag on the engine, which is something I'm trying to keep to a minimum.
I'm busy editing this model, need to do some fix ups and make it more "Kite shield" like and less "Templar" like....update will be posted when I'm done.
<-- modeler. Yes,indeed,I usually use 3ds max for all my models however,I'v recently started using blender (I find it more interested when it comes to modeling) so I'm learning blender as I go.The only way to learn in my opinion is experience,so I'v decided I'll only be modeling in blender for this project (Thus, forcing me to learn from experience) understand my thinking? I appreciate it though, and yes I accept all forms of constructive criticism. I hope you are a decent modeler(I assume you are) and will be interested in joining this project. It IS a lot of work indeed.
lukaluka94,actually if you take a look at a "corseque pike" it IS similar to this model, however,it does not have the lower edges.
Take a look:
Corsairs-wares.com
The models and their previews are different to their actual export and final,3d programs differ in preview. This was blender+3ds max,two different preview screens, don't expect a final yet.The final models can be seen in the actual game later on.
ah looks so sweet.
Good to see some innovative udk games :) (not the average shooter)
