Sweet find! Well done.
I believe that everything that needs to be said, has been said by my fellow comrades here.
I'm sure curiosity would have most of you at least trying out this game, though I would like to hope that most of you would avoid paying for its premium content in protest (as I am).
The most painful thing about this game is that they let my hopes go up, and actually made me excited for a Command and Conquer title since a very long time ago. The thought that V-games would work on it, and the beautiful promo, left me wanting it.
But they have struck me down with 3 hits.
1- Scrapping the singleplayer, and thereby the continuation. (I actually played and enjoyed the Gen/ZH campaign.)
2- Making it internet dependent.
3- Turning the game into a MMO, an F2P mmo even. Last I've noticed, F2PMMO games have horrible pockets of whiny players; Unfair or privileged equipment; constant re balances, and game changes to accommodate new marketing gimmicks; Outbreaks of hacking, and Hacker paranoia!
The reason why I think they are trying to get into the f2p mmo market so hard (going as far as turning lead titles into it), is to combat piracy.
It might come as a shock to EA, but the reason why piracy is big with their games is not because they are so good, but because EA managed to **** off large amounts of people en masse.
I was hoping to leave my "fanboyism" to rest, thinking that they couldn't hurt my childhood title anymore now that they killed and buried it with CnC4. Turns out they dug it up and took a **** at it.
So for old times sake... **** you Electronic arts, **** your products, **** your staff, and **** your founders and leaders.
And another blast from the past.
"EA SUCKS, **** UP EVERYTHING."
My oh my how time flies.
This is the first time I joined this group, and the first image I posted a comment on. I like how my first comment was fanboy-ish and stupid =D
I hate how I get to miss the old times, even as I post this comment, I'm going to miss it in the future. Same as how I miss the westwood days, and the days of windows ME.
My salutations to those of you who walk down memory lane.
Heh good times.
Paying my due respect to the first image posted on CnC paradise.
Greetings from 2012!
Not really, they are downgraded M1A1s, against modern weapons, they'd perform as well as the monkey version T-72s and T-62s that they had, except they'd be larger targets.
its not a Lorraine, its an AMX50 120. Read the description.
dual 152mm cannons, No automatic reload, crammed space in the turret.
This tank would have a very hard time reloading =P
And heavy as hell, looks cool though. Looks like something the GLA would make =P
Anyone know what happened to Joseph Kucan after CnC4?
Is this game a direct attempt to bitchslap Petroglyph's new F2P MMORTS End of Nations ?
Unfortunately, I've already stopped playing/buying any electronic arts games a very very long time ago. Slapping a "Command and Conquer" logo on your games does not change anything EA.
Also from the video the movement animation for the tanks looked bad for a few moments, I hope I'm wrong though.
love the handgun, and the model is beautiful!
lol Awesome xD
Looks like Bruce Willis lol.
Beautifully creepy! I like the choice of lighting.
I miss that logo, beautiful concept art !
Hope you guys go make it *hopes some more!*
Good luck !
Odd isn't it? but unfortunately Command and Conquer is now property of EA, there were newlines while writing the description didn't mean to squeeze them both in.
Isn't the United states already owned by the people with lots of money ?
That quote seems to stick out more nowadays.
Ahh, the Paris mission, I loved the Crazy Ivan mayhem on that mission.
Did I actually say that !?
The **** you discover while looking back at your own old posts.
Describes it perfectly. And I love it.
Out of curiosity, is anyone interested (or knows) about End of Nations?
And would anyone here be interested in playing it when it gets released?
If anyone doesn't know its a F2P MMORTS being developed by Petroglyph Game and Trion.
Would it have anything to do with the Buggies resembling The Brotherhood of Nod Buggies ? Which I totally think is cool.
Those Helicopters/ Planes look pretty rag-tag to me, I think it would fit.
Have faith, comrade.
EA is not directly involved in its making (If I am informed correctly)
