Eventually we will move onto L4D2, but we thought L4D1 deserved to have it defibbed a bit, so we're trying to put some life back into L4D1 for a while

First off, thanks for your donation. I hope you received my email with the latest version of DBD for you guys to play before we send it out into the general public.

We have been working very hard and it will be released within the next few days.

Please let me know if you have received the download link for your own personal use. I want to make sure you are able to play the campaign before the rest of the world.

Yeah I can't find a single server with this working and adding a server via IP is a pain in-game because you cant copy and paste

So basically, your silly little blog here is about a filesize? You have nothing better to do with your time?

As for emails sent to L4DMods, I receive and read all emails, you never sent anything.

As for the ModDB page, being updated and/or read, I do that too and we already knew about the filesize and the extra clutter that came with it. Many people reported this to us in a much more professional manner than you tried to.

Trying to foxtrot your way around your comments by saying "may" doesn't excuse the fact that you still used "stolen". Anyway, you're blog here was an interesting read, that's for sure, but you haven't really revealed anything that hasn't been already mentioned.

Enough about the ranting, let's get down to the next release.

We had 28 different people test our campaign before we released it. None of them had any of these issues that people have been reporting and it was a total shock to us when people started to give us their feedback.

I stated from the start that the events were a bit too difficult but pushing the release date caused us to completely forget about that.

Currently, we've fixed the crashes, added on-screen instructions, clear paths and we're tweaking the events to better suite gameplay and help players who don't really know what's going on around them. Next release will hopefully be a VPK release if Valve can help us (and many others) with the VPK size limit.

Clutter has been removed and we're pondering the idea if we should restructure the file directory (currently, it's a mess) but that will also cost a lot of time.

So, in short, we're still working on it, will release it for L4D1 and then, when we're happy that there aren't any serious issues with the campaign, we'll start porting it over to L4D2.

You never contacted any of us and that is a blatant lie that you tried to. As for the SVN and other files that were not needed, yes, that could have been avoided but because of our limited time and also the fact that we've been nagged and bitched to release the campaign, we compressed it all and uploaded.

Campaign is in Beta and no matter which way you look at it, we have some very unique routes that we took with it that even VALVe is taking with Left 4 Dead 2 (fetch the cola-mini size quests etc).

Sure, we might have messed up the BETA (focus, BETA) release, but that doesn't mean that the campaign has failed. Maybe in your opinion and some other users', but overall it has not failed. Your blog post here is nothing more than a childish attempt to put us in a negative light which will definately and ultimately fail.

As for stolen content, you have your story all messed up. Several of the previous NMRiH member helped on the campaign and we're in good standing with the CURRENT team as I speak to InzaneFlea and Maxx very often.

Get your facts straight before you start making these so called accusations.

That's strange. I'm nit accusing, but it only works with legit copies of Left 4 Dead. Other than that, I have no idea why it wouldn't be working. You have it installed correctly.

This is funny how only one side of this story is told. The other "team" members who helped creat the mall are all part of the current Dead Before Dawn team like General Vivi and Reko. So get your facts in order before posting biased comments/posts from people who have a grudge against others.

Grindpantera, I'll say this much. The mall is a whole level by itself. And everyone working on the campaign is making a shop in the mall that you can explore. So far we have a DVD shop, called DawnVD, a paintball shop etc. :)
