Just another dood on ModDB :D.
I'd have to agree with treat. The slow pans might have been justified if their was some custom assets or defining architecture involved rather than a reconfiguration of stock Portal stuffs. I'm all for vague teasers, but there's no sense of mystery and/or story of what's to come. The average gamer would just think this is some Portal fan-movie.
Might as well keep it installed, a lot of good mods coming out for it.
They told be that the current character assets were just placeholders... so I'm guessing these concepts will find their way into the mod.
Hehe, just a minor thing though. Anyways, its called Archasis II now...
Durian is also a fruit, I kept thinking that while putting this together...
I'd say it is more the short attention spans of gamers + lack of any real PR initiatives from the mods/games themselves.
Why are you so angry? Did trolls eat your father or something? Open your eyes and realize not every game is going to be historically accurate. It's FICTIONAL - go have your temper tantrum somewhere else.
Patch is included.
You shouldn't be using them all the time as they have their downsides too. People complain about not seeing team indicators... TURN OFF YOUR VISION MODE!
you can play the soundtrack in a player outside of the game, just browse to your /NeotokyoSource/soundtrack folder.
Great interview! Don't see the concept art though...
The best = people willing to work with us to increase their exposure. Devs have to put in effort to make this work.
And Cheeks of Steel, Zeno Clash DLC, Insurgency, Prometheus, X1: Past and Future, Tiberian Apocalypse, New AAAAAA! Demo, Discovery: Freelancer, Grey Sky, Operation Lyuban, D3 Demon Wars?
I choose you, Beetle!
You're ruining my immersion!
I don't know how you didn't see him :P
Much better version here: Youtube.com
This is supposed to be a scope overlay, but that didn't render out in the .dem playback... oh well, you'll be able to see it when you get in game yourself!
My guess is weeks, they don't want to announce a date until they're rock solid on it, I think.
I think it's the Episode One engine, not OB. Oh, and I'll see you on the battlefield Whizzard! Bring it on!
Indeed it is.
I thought the same thing, but if he's planning to release more episodes the story can developed along with them and retroactively inserted into previous chapters (like The Ball).
Great article, thanks for detailing the creation.
Playing the game is orgasmic for the eyes. I tried turning down the graphic intensity so I could follow the position of my ship better, but it wasn't the same. Also lol'd at the tagline "Games as art debate approaching".
Should have made a release post: Moddb.com
Please do more of these journal style entries. Really love how they show your thought process.
