So... how could I introduce myself. I'm 18 and I live in Hungary. I'm learning in a secondary school. I have registered here because I like mods (offical games become booring after some time). I love sci-fi, especially Star Wars, Star Trek Stargate and Babylon 5, so I love sci-fi games and mods too. Well, that's me - in a paragraph.

In fact EAW (or at lest FOC) can handle beams. In one of the mods, there is an LAAT gunship, and it has two beam cannons. So this problem can be solved.

However, if I were you I would make the mod for Sins of a Solar Empire. That game supports REALLY big battles.

To start with, I've disappeared for a quite long time - computer problems. So I haven't tried the mod since the 0.44 int. I'm so curious now! When I arrive home, it will be my first task. By right of the pictures, you've done fascinating job again. The new and improved models are great.

About the new trailer. It's by far the best so far, and by the right of it, the mod has improved a lot, since I played it. Mostly the weapon effects.

So congratulations, and thank you for your work!

And a question. Could you make icons, or shall I continue making them. Because without computer, I couldn't do it, but now... So if you are still interested in it, pls send a PM.

I've already made a banner-ish thing about ST:AOW, and placed it in my profile. If you let me, I'd like to make one about SG:WB, and upload it to my pictures. I like making such things, so it's a hobby for me. So I'd be happy if you let me doing this. (If noithing else, it's a little bit ad, because I have at least 2 visitors per a century :D )

Other: I've just realised that the Aurora is at 97%! Yeah! I'd love to kick some wraith *** with it! Nice work!

My strategy: Get to a safe distance from the Ha'taks while your shield is charging, then rush them use manual firing. The Mk VIII-s are useful only when their shield is down, but then they are extremely useful.

You have to unzip the archive to installation path\Nexus - The Jupiter Incident\mods folder, and it will appear in the menu's modifications section.

Your installed mods are listed there. These mods are physically in the Nexus - The Jupiter Incident\mods folder. If you want to install a mod, you just have to copy it to that folder, and they will be ready to play.

The first. The Prometheus should get a bit darker, serrated texture, because sometimes it can look untextured.

And the last thing. (I hope :) ) I think the ships' icons are WIP. I can make you Nexus-like icons if you want. I can't help in anything else, but this way I could help you a bit. (If you need them)

So ARMOR

IMHO the biggest problem is that ships go down way too easy, especially when their shield is gone. Maybe it's realistic, but it isn't much fun. The 1-minute-long battles are just too short for me. You should massively increase their HP (or decrease the weapons' hull damage).

SHIELDS

They are weak too for me. Not as weak as the armors, but they should be stronger, and there isn’t much difference between them. For example the goa’uld is nearly as strong as the ancient one. The ancient and asgard shield should easily stand the fire of 2-3 ha’taks. I think it would be more canon, if the weaker ships couldn’t do any damage for their large opponents. (BTW, why does the replicator ship have goa’uld shield? :) )

WEAPONS

They are pretty good, but IMO they also need a little tweaking.

The railguns are way too strong. They should be weak against hull. They are primarily anti-fighter, not anti-capital guns, so they should be much weaker. They should have a little lower rate of fire too.
And the Asgards. I think they are WIP, but askard ships have more than one cannon, and it is called “ion cannon” (not asgard cannon).

But once again, it’s a beta, and it’s pretty good for such thing. I love it, I’ve already played it a lot, and I’ve written down these things because I’d like to help in improving it, not because I want to crab the mod.
