Zdravo to everyone and welcome to my page! My nickname here is SRB-HawkEye-. Not much history behind it, I picked it randomly and I liked it. About me: I live in the greatest country on Balkan- Serbia, a beautiful country with rich history! I'm student and I'm studying about computers, robotics and electronics - I'm on a department that actually includes all of those courses. I have several hobbies, but history, languages and games are the hobbies that I enjoy really much. It really gets me relaxed and, BTW, I'm not a geek! :) About modding, after three years on this site I have learn so much about this sphere of gaming. I specialized myself in making camouflage textures. I made a small collection which I am keeping in my personal group called SRB-HawkEye-'s Mental Store. Unfortunately, I haven't started to work on any of the projects, although I have loads of great ideas. Members of artillery and antiaircraft missile units of the Army of Serbia will mark 30th September in memory of the same date from in 1915., when an artilleryman Radomir Raka Ljutovac downed a German aircraft.

There is an interesting story behind this date and the foundation of Serbian Anti Air Units. Radomir Raka Ljutovac was on the position, when a German bomber ("Daimler") have bombed the city of Kragujevac. He prepared a modified cannon (for engagements on a targets on the ground) and shot it down. German plane fell in the front of the door of the Serbian High Command in Kragujevac. After he saw what he done, he jumped on the horse and galloped to the HQ. When he saw that the plane was caught in fire, he saluted to the killed pilot fon Sheffer and his co-pilot (in historical chronicles, it was written "helper of the pilot" ) Otto Kish. Six days later, he got an award "Karadjordje Star" (Black George's Star in litteral translation) which was/is one of the highest award in Serbia.

Extremely interesting way of additional armor appeared in Yugoslavia, where the fight sides, tanks strapped with the old tires and pieces of thick rubber, which should protect the tank against fragmenting bullets. Its true ?

Yes, it's true. You could see that on the "Krajina Express". One Malyutka rocket have had hit the train, and the rubber armor saved it. If there were no rubber armor plates, it would be certainly destroyed.

As for tanks and other armored vehicles, it's true. Some armors have had, for example, a sand between the rubber layers to reduce the damage taken from shell/rocket.
T-34/85 in Republika Srpska:
There were pictures with T-55 with rubber plates, but I can't find them.

So, as you can see, it's shabby, but it was saving lives!

Hmmmm... The last paragraph tells a lot.

Pakistani MoD was in Serbia few months ago and he was highly interested in Serbian equipment, ammunition and vehicles. Serbia has an ammunition factory which produce every single caliber in the world (USA is a frequent buyer). About our equipments, rifles and vehicles, they are cheap, yet so effective. The same applies for LAZAR 2. Instead of buying one "Patria", you are getting 4-5 full armed LAZAR 2- his precursor LAZAR 1 already proved itself (showed on the picture of the web-site).
Before the LAZAR 2 was presented to the public for the first time, Pakistani MoD have had already purchased those three LAZAR's, which are probably by now in Pakistan. Anyway, those pics below are the right pictures of what your country have bought:

And, for the end, Pakistani agreed to purchase even more from our "junkyard", for which you'll be thankful one day.
