Character: Zoran Lazarević
Game: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Summary: Zoran Lazarević is the primary antagonist and final boss of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Lazarević was voiced by (incredibly talented) Graham McTavish.
Zoran Lazarević was born in former Yugoslavia. Lazarević participated in the Yugoslavian wars as a Soviet intelligence officer (?!). His uniform and equipment is stereotypical of volunteers. During or after the war, Lazarević was hunted by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Lazarević, however, survived the assassination attempt, although he would always bear scars on his right side of body by the bombing...

Something you might not know: To ones who are not familiar with Serbian names and their meanings, names like Dragan, Zoran, (a nickname) Draža and so on, could sound though, badass or ruthless to them (just as their carriers- in this case, villains from this game), but those names have, actually, an opposite meaning. For example, Dragan means "dear, darling", Zoran means "one who brings the daybreak". Draža (previous villain with "ruthless" name) is short for a various names such as Dragan, Dragoslav, Dragoljub, etc. and means "even dear(er) person".
Knowing this, you might find the irony in the opposition of their names and their personalities.
Don't tell that to an Uncharted fan, they will never look at those villains the same way again. xD
I'm working on novel were some places are set in Serbia. So I need to think of some stuff too :)
