Description
The original picture called "Girl from Kosovo" or "Kosovo's Girl" (Kosovka devojka)- Miroslav.ch
Story tells about the end of Battle of Kosovo in 1389. Girl from Kosovo, in search for her lover, encounters duke Pavle Orlovich, badly wounded knight. She gave him water and bread to refresh himself, asking him where is her lover. He told her that everyone died in battle, and at the end even he dies.
Referencing the past in the same modern-day scenery... Epic.

Nice! Is that meant to be a dead KLA soldier underneath the duke? I can't make out the insignia very well.

Fun fact: My dad painted an exact copy ( I watched him ) of girl from Kosovo
