we all know that multi player gaming is more populair then sp gaming in fpshooters.
still, there are many like me who do like sp much more as mp. and for those people i
like to make sp-levels.

over the last 10 years i have made over 100 sp-maps for severel different fps, like call of Duty1+2, Mohaa, Prey, Sof2, and many other games.

i assume you already know that i am working for about a year now hard on my latest (5th) HL2 ep2 sp-mod called Rooftop Retreat (RR) (working title), but you are right, this will be my final Source mod for now. Should Valve release a HL3 then i probably will come back to modding with it. You can find RR here;
About which engine i will choose ones RR is done, for my first indie game. That i still don't know. I still am looking in to engines like the latest Crytek engine 3, UDK, Unity, and others. But, i even consider the Source engine for a indie game. But i have decided to first finish and release RR before i decide anything about indie development. RR will probably released in 2 months time or so.
You can use the 'track' option on moddb, so you get a message each time when i place a new news update about RR.

Hope i did answer all your questions.

Hi, yet again another fan here asking annoying questions. I wanted to congratulate you on all the success that you have had and very excited to see what indie games you will make to be sold on steam. As your mapping, programming and creating cool scenarios are amazing, I am going to be sad to see you go away from the aging Source engine, onto greater things (Mostly because I have a bad computer) so I wanted to ask you, what engine/s are you planning to work with for your indie game and future mods and if Episode 3 was released with a slew of new content and SDK tools or a new version of the Source engine was released, would that tempt you back into making another Half Life mod? Thanks for taking the time to read this and good luck in your future endeavors.

i assume you never played my Strider Mountain or Coastline to Atmosphere sp-mods because they belong to the largest mods that are made, if they aren't THE largest.

Still, ones this new mod is finished i will go on with indie development and i am looking around to see which engine i will choose for that. Maybe i choose for the Source engine because i know all its in and outs by now.

i don't make mp maps simply because i don't like mp gaming. i never play mp, only sp, (simply am a real HUGE SP fan!!!)
and when you don't like a game type then you also don't make maps for it, it really is that simple.

and sorry Duruk that i haven't kept in contact, but i have been sick this week and there where a lot of other issues that had my atention.
we will skype soon, i promise!!

thank you all for the nice words, although its a bit late of me to reply to you're comments. i did read them a long time ago but forgot to answer here because i first needed to check something and then forgot.

i can now say that Final Project isn't my last Hl2 (eps) mod, because i am working on a new one that will be seen tomorrow here on Moddb, the progress that is, its not finisghed yet.

Hey Leon. I just like to stop by to mention something I forgot to say back on Planet Philip. I just had so much to say that day, a few points I wanted to make about the "story" of your mods, intentional or not, that a few things slipped my mind at the time.

The idea of Coastline to Atmosphere, being the first (official) Half Life 2 mod you made, beginning in the exact same point as your last Half Life 2 mod (Final Project) ends is quite a superb idea, and the is the same sort of thing that happens with the television show "Lost"- season 1 begins at the same spot that season 6 (the final season) ends.

I don't know if you intended this next point or not, but I also liked the idea that the main character in Final Project was the creator of Coastline to Atmosphere and Strider Mountain, making your trilogy of mods all connected in one way or another, even if it was not evident/intended at first. Coming to the realization that your two previous mods are supposedly mods within the story of your final mod is quite a mind bending concept, which impact the events of that mod due to their influence on the mods protagonist's mind.

Once again, I don't know if this was intentional or not either, but the idea of a connection between the mods you made was hinted at ever so subtly at the start with the Strider Mountain style mountains in the distance in the first few chapters, followed by the giant moon visible in the sky during chapters 5-7 like in Coastline to Atmosphere built up very well to the point in the final chapter when "Coastine to Atmpshere" is shown on screen and the beginning cutscene of Coastline to Atmosphere starts up, which basically confirms that Final Project's main character was indeed, like yourself in reality, the creator of the past two mods (aswell as the levels in Final Project itslef).

Hats off to you once again, Leon, for your constantly interesting ideas! I'm eager to see what you decide to do with Crysis.
