Well....me....actually i'm not a that usual mod maker, because i'm don't now how to model or texture, make missions, and all that stuff...But why am i a (supposedly) valuable member of the team? Mainly two things: I make good trailers, and i'm an experienced video editor. And i have tons of ideas, sometimes even good ones...and i'm getting those from playing, so i can really make a difference when it comes down to the mod reproducing the feeling it's supposed to reproduce. I think that's all.... If i left out anything, tell me:)

I can configure that, no registry entries will be made. The installer only makes registry entries if i tell it to. This'll just copy the files where you tell it to, basically.

A new, full pack is coming, around the first half of next week. No new content, maybe some modified balancing, but the big new thing is that it's going to be an installer, not just a rar, so it'll be more convenient for everyone, especially newbies, and casual players.

Yep, put the contents of the Stargate: WAr Begins(beta0.69) folder into your Stargate: War Begins folder, and the contents of the Nexus skirmisher folder into your nexus skimrisher folder as written in the readme.

do you have all patches installed in the correct order? Do you have a clean install? Everything works for us, so try to totally reinstall the mod. It should work.

Will check into that.

Fighter missile shield piercing is planned, not to mention that they will hit devices properly.

The hulls are usually the main point of compromise, as in Stargate the ships take damage even through their shields, but once they are down, a few shots and byebye. Like in Be all my sins remember'd(Aurora) or No man's land(Daedalus and Orion)

Over-done in theory, but very few Warhammer 40k mods are released. Hope this one sees light!

I'll criticize as soon as there is anything to criticize:)

I'd love to play it guys, keep it up!

Well, mission 2 is winnable, altough hard...but if it was easy...what's the point?

As for the repli mission: Also winnable, but you need to pick off the right targets sooner then some others...
The price of this prequel campaign is that because of story aspects, you can't lose ships, or just some, sometimes. In the main campaign that problem will be fixed, altough, there, losing a ship will have a big price... Here we have plans for most of them in the future.

Unfortunately we are balancing ourselves on a small string, to keep ourselves in between playability and canon. If the game was 100% stargate canon, than it would be unplayable, but we can't do everything how we would like, because that wouldn't be canon at all.

Thank you for the input. That's why it's a beta. Nothing is perfect here, but we're working on it quite hard, to make 1.0 as good as humanly possible. We don't want to go all the way to 2.0 etc....

We'd like 1.0 to be IT.

And that's why feedback is so important. We're making this for you, so we'll try to make it as good as all of you'd like:)

You have to download the program called Nexus Skirmisher from the site:
www.arparso.de/nexus

To the others: everything worked just fine for us when testing, so i don't know what your problems are. First thing i get home in the morning i'll recheck everything before i upload again.

Mamba:

You select Stargate: War Begins. In the upper right cornet there is a menu called MISSION TYPE. (where you select cinema mode) there should be a menu item called Warbeginsskirmisher. You select that and voila shields work.

In skirmisher, in the upper left corner, there is a menu called Mission Type. You don't have to change the mod. Just that one thing. Then the shields will work properly. That's of course if you put the skirmisher file where it was supposed to.

And you have to have all previous patches.

Btw i'm writing from my mobile, from work, so i may be slow.
