Hey, very nice mod you have there. It may be a long ways off but if perchance I complete my mod I already know I would like to come to you for some advice on multiplayer games so be prepared :D
Hey Gibberstein, since your a coder I wanted to know some info about some features.
-Npcs that build a base camp over a set period of time (kinda like the engineers in TF2)
-Being able to help out Npcs into places (lifting them up ledges and whatnot)
-Npcs that recognize the environment and use it (smashing items towards the player, etc.)
-Customizable clothes system where you can change your characters appearance
-Upgrade system (Upgrade and even build some weapons)
Would these features be easy to implement, would I need an experienced coder or would they not be possible?
I know you must be busy working and cant be bothered but if you could spare a few minutes and impart with me some knowledge it would be greatly appreciated. Although there are many (and I mean MANY) kids who say they wish to create a mod, I feel as if i should get a grasp on the basics before hand. Could you guys sort of point me in the right direction? Ive began to learn mapping and modeling and have a coder but I know we're aren't experienced enough for what my goal in mind is.
