Hypothetically they could replace the pirates.
But that would play like crap, because only 2 shipd have been seen in the series. And there is that annoying bribe thing in the game.

you should have posted system requirements as well.
You do not want people in the beta, whose machine can barely run the vanilla game, having it run poorly and then complaining of a bug.

That isnt a bad thing. For one they are using the time to add content to the game. Second point, the 1.5 patch may add extra features they could use. Third point the 1.5 patch may make the mod not work.

I'd rather it work and be good from the get-go than download 50MB patch after 50MB patch (or worse GBs of new data).
