I like to draw, I like to mod, etc. If asked, I'm generally willing to send out any mod bits I haven't released... to certain extents, of course.

Description

A set of animations that allow you to use ValveBiped models, such as those from G-Mod, as playermodels in Portal. See included README.txt for more information. Updated Jan 06, 2015.

I know this comment is very late to the party but if you named the animation file the same as the gmod player animation 'm_anm.mdl' you would only need to do a simple HEX and the model would work without recompiling it.

I compiled some models a while back to sit between these animations and G-Mod playermodels a while back, but I forgot to release them. Oops. Well, anyway, here's the file.

since i don't know how to work this thing for my life, could you put a link to the male player model in the picture? i can't find it anywhere either, so even if i did know how to work it, i wouldn't be able to use that model. btw, how do you hex models? (please respond, i'll be checking regulary)

The male player can be downloaded from my Freewebs site.

It's currently the only thing under the Portal heading.
As for hexing models, you have to open the mdl file in either a hex editor or a text editor that can display special and nul characters. You have to change the path and model name from whatever it was to whatever you're renaming it to. In doing so, you have to replace characters, and not insert. If you change the size of the mdl file, the game will crash when it tries to load the model.
For instance, if you're changing say "models/humans/sng/jen_player.mdl" to "models/player/chell.mdl", you would have to change the section with 'Humans\SNG\Jen_Player.mdl' to 'player\chell.mdl [NUL] [NUL] [NUL] [NUL] [NUL] [NUL] [NUL] [NUL] [NUL]', ignoring the spaces (they're only there because of an arbitrary limit to the length of single words imposed by ModDB).
Each [NUL] is a single character, 00, which is why it's important to use a hex editor or an advanced text editor. I myself use Notepad++. Inserting the nul characters is harder using it, but it can still be done.

Whoopsie, got busted skirting some of Webs' built-in limits, I think. Oh well, just more incentive to make a better site somewhere else. Here's the link by itself.

Can you do this with the Portal 2 Atlas and P-Body models? I've been dying to be able to switch into them and I have a way to do multiplayer so my friend wants us to do that too.

To an extent. The interaction animations would be missing, and I'm not sure how that might affect online play.
