Its a known issue tied to the AI in game. They changed alot of values, in patch 1.2 they tuned it down as a fix.
What does this mod change ? I overwrote the files and have it active but it seems like nothing is different, research cost / benefits seem the same
What did the Borg mod change ? I cannot see any difference in research or max cap.
What did you change, i was looking around the mod and cannot see any difference vs vanilla.
We are East ? Central Time zone in US so around that time
I have I5 @ 4ghz 770gtx 8gb and i get a ton of stuttering
EDIT - I just watched Youtube.com and you have similar issues. Primarily zooming in and out the little 1-2s stutter then jerks around or when fleets are firing/flying a slight 1-2 delay then its like it lost a few frames or something. Maybe some of us are just performance snobs and pick up on it more and more
What are your exact specs gul. Im trying to isolate it rather being parts or another variable. What AI levels do you usually play at.
Im an I5 @ 4ghz , 770gtx 8gb Ram. Nothing running in back i check Sins has all 25% of 1 of my 4 cores. If you dont get it and I do gotta be some other variable.
Everything in effects is off for testing, and everything set to low.
Other variables would be a medium random galaxy with 3 Evil Random AI Profile _ 1 Fed 1 Rom 1 Kling myself Cards
I think we need some sort of AI patch in order to fix the stuttering issue. Its present even at the start of the game , im not talking late game lag but a legit stutter every 10s when the ai goes to calculate
Does anyone have the problem where the mod stutters every few seconds ?

Looks great, i wanted to offer a very small critique. The overall model and texture is great but the area by the cockpit there is a random plate edge that is floating and does not connect to anything.
Great work probably just overlooked i do it all the time :-)

Are you activating the mod in game ? or setting the .txt file to launch the mod auto ?

A little rough around the edges some errors here and there but all the main pieces are in place, keep working at it should turn out great
I model in 3dsmax, depending on each game engine will depend how an asset needs to be exported . Sins stuff can be modeled in max but needs to be exports from XSI in order to get tangents and normal's correct

Its possible, the issue now is we have to go back and redo the tangent maps for everything, so in current nothing is really ready

Couldnt agree more, as a modder on DOTR ( Dawn of The Reapers ) I couldnt imagine my co-lead running off like that

to add to what lockerd said, I'm starting to work back on the reapers again after a few months. They have the most to do since we have to create each design. Modeling wise only a handful are done along with collector ships.
