I like to have a lot of choices when it comes to games but I do indeed see what you mean by 'races' being too similar to the current units and the mod becoming too overwhelming for new/certain players might put people off.
I think it's probably for the best if you don't add any races/Chapters/Marks and so on so that Ultimate Apocalypse stays unique amongst the vast amount of mods out there.
Besides, the Dawn of Coalescence mod has a total of 59 races which is far too much for me.
Regardless, the mod at the moment is fantastically well made; one of the top 5 DoW mods I've seen. Keep up the jolly good work!
I was just eating a wrap with Chicken and lettuce in (was rather delicious) when I suddenly pondered something.
Will you chaps be adding any more races to the current selection? Perhaps implementing the Steel Legion Mod or making certain First Founding Chapters playable races, similar to that of the Codex Mod?
I had to put my sunglasses on so that I could dramatically take them off and say "mother of god". This is fantastic! It must become a thingy!
I seem to be having a problem with the Kaurava Campaign! Allow me to 'set the scene' as it were.
I am playing as Chaos; I've taken over the Dark Eldar, Orks and Space Marines. As I completed the Tau Stronghold, the game crashed after I chose my Wargear pieces for the commander. I'm not sure what is going on at all, nor do I know if anyone else has been having a similar/the same problem.
Any idea what may be going on?
I don't know if I did anything wrong, but when I played through the Anchorage DLC I noticed (after I completed it) that nothing had been used from the mod, it was all the default armour and weaponry.
Aside from that, I only play Fallout 3 if this mod is there because I'm so used to it now! Good work! :D
I was looking through these screenshot and had an idea.
What if you were (somehow) able to make it possible for players to change the direction of buildings? I have no idea if it would be possible or even how the hell it would be done; but just like in DoW 2 with the turrets, you could change which direction buildings faced.
It does make it clear, yes. But to me it seemed like a mistake (59 races seems a bit excessive) but if there's 59 races, I'm going to have to spend an hour or two on each one at least! The mod looks great thus far anyway, good work! :D
Wait woaah..go back a second! 59 races?! I'm even more interested now! The Codex mod is in my top 5 list of DoW Mods, next to Ultimate Apocalypse as well! But 59 races! That's insaaaneee!!!!
Can I ask, why is this mod so huge? I'm still going to download it once you release it.
This is quite interesting. Will this be another one of the randomized models?
I had to read this several times to realise you weren't swearing.
My excuse: I just woke up! :D
I'll take a gander when I can on the forum in time. When you can, please let me know what you think of the maps. Ignore the mission which has a crap load of Orks; I used that map to try and get ideas for what I could make for that mission.
Thanks for taking the time to try it out too; much appreciated! :)
I'm trying to use the regular 1.03; no combiner. Not to worry, I think I may need to reinstall Soulstorm again anyway, so I'll retry it then. I certainly don't want to miss out on this mod. If I fix it, I'll let you know if you like.
I've done this, as well as doing a new install of your mod, the patches and the bugfix mod; I can't seem to find it in 'Game Manager'. I'll look into it though; this mod looks better than a hot fudge pudding with cream; being heated up before the cream was added of course.
Oh. Perhaps it is down to not installing the 1.1 patch first. I'm just going to attempt to install the patches and mods again in a moment.
BLUE's to blame for this? Me and my constant, crappy puns! XD
I'm REDy for this!
I dread to look at it again.
I seem to be facing a problem here. I have installed the 1.0 version of the mod, and when I go to run the mod in 'Game Manager' is says "Failed to activate the requested game'. When I then install the 1.03 patch for the mod, it doesn't show in the game manager at all. I've also installed the 1.46 bug fix mod, and attempted to patch Soulstorm with the 1.2 hotfix (which didn't work). I am lost. I am more lost than a sock in a washing machine! :/
As much as I bloody love this mod, I'd just like to say that maybe adding even more races (even thought it may increase the size of the mod vastly) may be a good choice; more options for players. More races such as Tyranids; The Steel Legion or adding in the Dance Macabre units?
Regardless, this mod is incredible as it is at the moment; keep up the great work! :D
This excites me so.
Take your time with it! Quality over quantity...I'm not sure where quantity comes into this though xD.
Either way, this mod really does look awesome. Good work! :)
I am most pleased. This mod looks absolutely spiffing if I do say so myself! Just curious but when will there be a released version of the mod? I cannot wait for it! :D
The update (assuming it is released on the 5th) is on my birthday. Jus' saying ;D
They haven't cancelled it -.- They started writing Series 6 back in October last year.
This looks badass (the colour scheme, not the Swastika)! :D
Sexy mother trucking hell! XD
What did he hope to gain from being this stupid? It just baffles me.
I usually get some Table Top stuff for Christmas, but this year, I'd rather have this mod instead! It looks awesome! Good work 'ol chap! Good work indeed! :D
