Installation help. I extract this zip to a new folder and run the executable. the game launches, but in a 1080 res window and the menu is large and overlapping.
If i start a new game, it says error could not find maps\base1.bsp.
If i try to switch to full screen and hit apply, it just stays in a window.
This worked 2 betas ago. am i missing something?
Never mind. I forgot to transfer the legacy files from stock.
szogyeni - no offense, but you need a better summary, and a detailed description... its not hard. don't expect people to care about your crap if you don't. especially when its a pain in the *** in the first place to get HP2 to run on a modern os...
works over a clean steam gta iv install - but i get a ctd when i try to spawn certain cars (such as zonda[forgot which one]) with gta iv has stopped working; then i have to start it multiple times because it takes a while for it to start correctly (i will get 2 or 3 d3d reset failed errors... - but its awesome otherwise
i didn't really get into modding gta iv because it was so obscure, but this makes it easy
btw are the additional cars able to spawn like regular cars in traffic? i saw them a couple of times, but only after i'd spawned one for myself
This is quite amazing! I hate that the carmageddon community seems to be dying. This was one of the best modding communities around... among HL/CS, Unreal and some others of the age.
It looks faithfully recreated, are the physics similar too?
This would be quite impressive on a resume, are you currently employed as a game dev or something?
I miss the carmageddon community, but its hard to even get the game running on modern HW and OS. dTD was my one of my favorite sites.
You really have something going here, some great talent!
