Welcome to my ModDB page, here you can find my blog where I write about the games I follow and what's going on in general. You'll also find the latest stuff I make. Mapping is what I do, mainly for the Source engine, I want to learn other engines and skills too though, Unreal Engine 3, Sandbox 2, modeling, texturing and more. My main project right now is The Wind (www.thewind.tv).
Hammer Units Converter is a tool used to convert values to and from the imperial system, the metric system and the units found in Hammer (the Source engine map editor). I'm a mapper myself, I'm currently in a mod team where I get all measurements in feet. Before we made this program I had to open up the calculator and manually make all my conversions, this is both tedious and it's quite possible I write something wrong. With the Hammer Units Converter though, I can quickly and easy make my conversions without having to stop and think, instead I can focus on what I'm doing and save a lot of time. In version 2.2 we've fixed a minor bug, made it possible to select stuff in the answer box and made the background grey. If you find this program useful, thank us by telling your mapping friends about it!

Excelent! It support skybox as well. I'll give it a try.
Can you convert it into an exe?
It's written in Java so I don't think I can make it into an exe. I packed it into a jar file though so you should just have to double click HUC.jar to launch it.
Thank you for trying it out! ^^
wow, amazing idea, now it will be so much easier to make true to life proportions without using dev textures.
Nice work!
sweeeeet thx for sharing!
