I like to learn new things and make cool stuff. I'm going to college to become a technical artist.

Clustering also takes up more memory, right? Since you're creating a unique model.

Silverfisk @ New site review system

When I add a review to a game I have previously rated, the review doesn't show up when I browse my reviews. Actually, it doesn't show up at all.

On a totally different note; have you considered changing from a 1-10 rating system to a 1-5 rating system?

Look at what files are included man, the NRM part of WoodRough0088_2_NRM.vtf probably means normal.

Silverfisk @ Street Test Map

I guess I could, if anyone wants it they can even have the vmf as I probably won't do anything with this anyway.

Silverfisk @ Tell me Sir, how Transparent are you?

This is great! I'm mostly using the Source engine and that engine have a lot of trouble with transparency.

You just need to add a model for when it explodes and stuff like that! It'll be awesome.

Silverfisk @ Completing the garage environment

Also, I see you're using l/r trigger to change the paint type. You could use r/l button to change the color also, that would make sense and make it faster to use.

Silverfisk @ Himalayas trip

You're talking about the shadows under the trees? I think they're using static shadows for them. Because the shadows from the vehicles and stuff are sharp.

This is so amazing guys, looking forward to your next news post!

Worth noting is that Iiro J├Ąppinen made the original version of those social icons (FB, YT, Steam, Twitt, ModDB). Iirojappinen.com

Awesome stuff dudes, I hope people start using this! :)

Silverfisk @ ITOG: Textures n' Stuff

He's talking about baking ambient occlusion, that's not a real time effect. You can do that for example in Blender, what it does is render a static ambient occlusion map that you can overlay onto your normal texture to give it more depth.

Silverfisk @ Zelda World Alpha v1.0

Runs very smoothly for me (9800 GT).

Looks nice, it feels like you've ripped the textures and levels straight from the game somehow, they look very, very much like the ones in the game.

Well done so far!

Silverfisk @ How do you set your resolution for PC gaming?

It depends, if I'm developing or have for example chats going on I go windowed. But generally when gaming I'm fullscreen.

Silverfisk @ YoUniq AdExchange advertising offer

I think it's a great idea! Almost any game in a modern setting can make an ad look natural, plus it will be beneficial for two game developers instead of being just some thing.

I would take that offer if I were making a game where it would fit.

The cover art is great! I think it would look even better if the tree just had a fully white background (not with those grey lines).
