Hi, I'm a guy from Sweden who's currently going to game development college. I'm interested in game development, creating 3d models and programming.
I actually think it's pretty easy changing the spec in alpha channel, but since that doesn't work as it should in Gimp, David has said that he's going to perhaps change that in the future to use a separate picture to define the spec.
And it's actually not my engine, I'm just a fan of Wolfire Games. :)
Yeah, the workflow is much better than what I'm used to (Source engine). You can save it and load it up again and send it to other people or whatever you want. :)
Yes it is, I might make a tut on that at some point.
The lack of recoil bothers me as well.
Yes this is awesome, I'll be waiting for this to become popular... :)
I know there are a bunch of tools out there, but I wanted to show the very basic way of doing it. I should have mentioned in the tutorial that there are these tools though.
This video was very very entertaining! Well done! :D
Go go Overgrowth!!
All good stuff!
Looking forward to more as always! :)
This is getting better and better and you seem to be focusing on the right things. For the video, you sound a bit low and there's a high pitched sound in the background, small annoying things.
Very very awesome!
I have been having big problems with that transparency thing you're talking about, awesome to finally see a working solution!
I'm going to be holding a live streamed Overgrowth Class this coming sunday! More info here: Forums.wolfire.com
I recorded new dialog from a new manuscript I think. I didn't bother to lip sync it since we would have the real dialog in there soon.
I might get the character into Overgrowth someday also.
In any case, that looks pretty nice!
Why is it 93mb? :S
Glad you guys like it!
This game uses real time shadows on everything, you'll probably be able to turn them off if you don't like them.
Thanks for the comments guys!
I'm glad you like it! :)
I've heard a lot he's creepy, I'm not sure if that's a good thing! :P
It works for me at least, performance is good, are you using the Blender Engine for this?
I liked it a lot, this engine is so awesome!
It costs $29.95 to buy the game and get access to the weekly alphas, the secret preorder forum as well as the full game when it's released.
This is so amazing!
I love the blood particle effect! :D
This particle system produces very nice results! Great work!
The sparks emitting light looks awesome! Very cool stuff, and it looks like the engine can handle a lot of particles as well!
Clustering also takes up more memory, right? Since you're creating a unique model.
