You know you can edit each individual picture's description instead of commenting on them, it's a little more work but it keeps the page a little cleaner, plus it makes the description box not completely worthless (once you read it you're probably going to ignore it for the rest of the images).

People whine far too much in that game, I find it funny how they whine more about DC-17m AA than the wookiee homing rocket launcher.

For a war game, I'd recommend you use more "drabby" colors in an almost darker color scheme, dead grass and such. It would fit the theme a lot better.
I can understand if you want to keep it accurate to the area, I don't know what the real area looks like or what it looked like back then.

Looks good, but the side railing looks insanely overdetailed, those 'bumps' or whatever you have on them look like they should be handled through a normal map as opposed to being modeled straight on.
Might just be me, but it looks like he's way off balance and would fall flat on his face (possibly skewering himself xD)
But yeah, this isn't even going to be included so it doesn't matter, but keep it in mind for future animations :D
The metal looks waaaay too bright, it looks like it's made out of silver or chrome or something. Add some scratches (especially around the edges) and maybe a little rust, also darken the metal a bit.
Also, I don't know a lot about muskets, but I imagine there might be some burn marks around where the hammer drops (especially during battles).
Oh, and here's a tip, you can upload all 3 of these images in one go so that you don't get 3 updates all called "Springfield M1861" spammed in someone's updates.

This comment is pretty old, but I feel I should reply to it. The mod isn't being held up by us working on effects, it's the lack of other fields progressing due to having such a small team (at the moment). There isn't much that the art section of the team can do at the moment because we need more code work to be done.
This is why we're moving onto a phase-based development cycle. This way we can get things released to the community, and our merging with Terran Gaming will provide us with a wider community of players and modders to help out with the mod.

We want to get phase one out as soon as possible so the community actually has something to do while we work on JKG. This way it will get it itself out as fast as possible.
And isn't finished here, i.e. it needs more filtering so that only the white parts have god rays (for example).

No, these are just the files (and only the ones you need) to host a server. You will not be able to play properly if you only have these. This is just for server hosts.

However, if the team wants to put an ad up, I recommend trying places like gamedev.
Tbh, I just need to render each one separately so they don't occlude from each other, just individually.

Oh I thought you meant player skins, barley any of the guns are actually UV Mapped which is why most of them use flat colors instead of textures (it's a better alternative than gray/white grid missing texture)

AK-47s are a really nice design, very rugged. Honestly if they added some pitcanny rails... maybe some lights... maybe an ammo indicator and new materials and it would fit right in. Then again this isn't far in the future, maybe therw will be a sort of elite military that uses new... futuristic looking weapons like this pistol, while people that don't have access to such new technology have to smuggle old weaponry like kalashnikovs and other rifles.

Low Poly work isn't bad as long as you're doing it to learn how to UV Map and texture, it encourages you to put more detail in textures, and it's easier to unwrap if you're just starting to learn
it's more stereotypical for swamps to be more dirty, otherwise it just looks like any other biome :\

Since eez didn't explain this very well you may ask yourself "why are you accepting beta testers instead of releasing 2.0.2??? The point of a beta tester is not to play the game, but to seek and destroy (well, destroying is the coder's job) every bug in the mod. when you find one, you write it down and send a list of em to use in the end :P

Weird, I know I've done it before and it was kinda ******* me off cause for some reason 3 round burst seems incredibly weak compared to semi-auto, at least it seems to do just as much damage in one shot as it does with the 3 round burst.
I can't seem to switch firemodes with the burst pistol, but I've done it before, it's weird. Any ideas?

Yes, and we've even improved them a bit, TAB bots are the most advanced and don't require bot routes (they're from the OJP mod)
The crosshair size is also large for melee weapons, like the Taser, it should have its own crosshair soon though.
Go to options, go to advanced, and turn all the pixel shaders off like blur, filmgrain, especially bump mapping, weather should be fine, but I recommend turning that to low if you don't have a very good computer.
