Hey I'm Silverfang, I like to play games quite a bit on the computer and my xbox, I listen to many kinds of music including (but not limited to) metal, dubstep, and djent (is that metal?). Feel free to add me on XFire, AIm, MSN, Steam, or XBL.
Heh, this thing screams "firefly" to me ;)
Looks good, but the side railing looks insanely overdetailed, those 'bumps' or whatever you have on them look like they should be handled through a normal map as opposed to being modeled straight on.
Might just be me, but it looks like he's way off balance and would fall flat on his face (possibly skewering himself xD)
But yeah, this isn't even going to be included so it doesn't matter, but keep it in mind for future animations :D
3ds Max has an autobackup system, you've probably overwritten it all now but check your max folder for a folder called 'autobak'
I think that's where it is anyway.
You can also customize how many backups to make and how often to make a new save (Don't remember where to do this)
Hey, who is this again? I can't remember xD
The metal looks waaaay too bright, it looks like it's made out of silver or chrome or something. Add some scratches (especially around the edges) and maybe a little rust, also darken the metal a bit.
Also, I don't know a lot about muskets, but I imagine there might be some burn marks around where the hammer drops (especially during battles).
Oh, and here's a tip, you can upload all 3 of these images in one go so that you don't get 3 updates all called "Springfield M1861" spammed in someone's updates.
The firing animation could use a little recoil.
Oh, haha, almost missed the description and was going to question if (some of) those models were ported from JK2/A or not.
My biggest annoyance in this game was how amazing all the guns and other models were... then seeing the monsters and how mediocre they looked.
I'd love to see an "HD" model pack released to make some of these monsters look a little better :p
On the contrary, this is a unique model that was made by Karpman for JKG.
Needs moar BLOOM
or... sparkles or something
...because you can.
So like, line battles and stuff?
"Dave the Survivor"
This was a lot of fun, thanks to everyone who showed up <3
No worries, we should be on all day tomorrow :)
Something I found out, this program will only accept UNCOMPRESSED avi files.
What do you mean by "zombie option"? Because if you mean a gametype we've already been planning on having one for a long time.
Server #1 is now running just fine, server #2 has resumed its role as a testing server for unreleased versions. (Check front page description for server IPs)
This file may be broken, I just tried it on a magnavolge server and it did not work until I uploaded all my main files (including clientside ones). I'll be discussing this with eezstreet today, hopefully we can get a working version up soon.
UDK would not be ideal in any way whatsoever. That would require completely restarting all code and converting all weapons and other models, not to mention all the things that would need to be recreated from just base JKA. The entire team would also need to learn UDK. UDK also doesn't allow us access to the engine.
We're trying to recycle as many things as possible and scrap nothing.
Just posting a quick note here, Official Server #2 is currently running 2.4.3, if you want to play on it join this IP 220.127.116.11:29070
This may change soon as we do a lot of testing, but for now I'm going to keep the server running 2.4.3
Needs some glow, dunno if that's possible on Men of War, I've never actually played nor modded it. This also looks like the lower city of Coruscant, so it needs to be dirtied up a bit, if it is the lower city it's pretty much the slums (or very near them).
It would be cool if you made slimes stick to ceilings the way reborn can.
Is that creature carl in the back?
Hey look, it's a slyfoxhound.
What happened to the subway picture?
Yes, yes it was. :p
This comment is pretty old, but I feel I should reply to it. The mod isn't being held up by us working on effects, it's the lack of other fields progressing due to having such a small team (at the moment). There isn't much that the art section of the team can do at the moment because we need more code work to be done.
This is why we're moving onto a phase-based development cycle. This way we can get things released to the community, and our merging with Terran Gaming will provide us with a wider community of players and modders to help out with the mod.
