Description

This is a little something I've been working on based on the anime/manga; Black Lagoon. It's just too damn awesome for words!

SGT. Porter grew up along with SGT. Farges in Charleston, SC. SGT. Porter was never much for the military, but joined the U.S. Army in 1989. In 1990, he was deployed to Iraq along with then CPL. Farges, where they were assigned to the 7th Cavalry Division. CPL. Farges and PFC. Porter were separated when the Battle of 73 Easting started. They met up 3 days later, SGT. Farges having massacred a small brigade of Iraqi Republican Guard troops attempting to flank the U.S. lines at 73 Easting. During the Battle of Khafji, PFC. Porter distinguished himself by storming an Iraqi AT position with his squad, and using it against Iraqi forces, giving Coalition forces time to advance.

In April 1991, he was selected by U.S. Army Special Operations Command for placement into the Delta Force; he first declined, but after constant pressure from his superiors, he signed into Delta Force and passed the tests with flying colours. He achieved the rank of Sergeant on January 8th, 1992.

On August 16th, 1993, he was deployed into Somalia with Operation Gothic Serpent and stationed at the Task Force Ranger compound in Mogadishu. On October 3rd, he was one of a group of Deltas that were never mentioned that participated in the night fighting.

In 1994, he was sent on a secret raid into Bosnia to sabotage Serbian artillery sites. His raid was a success, being that he could only destroy half of them with his supplied C-4, and had to do the rest VIA hit-and-run tactics with rocket propelled grenades and stolen explosives.

In April 1995, he was stationed on [DATA EXPUNGED] Island in the South China Sea along with several other Special Forces units from MARSOC, ARSOC, NAVSOC, and AFSOC units.

He is married to Marie Farges, SGT. Farges' sister and has an 8 year old son.

"At no point was I afraid, I sucked it up and took it like a man. I guess that's what dying is."
