Pretty much just playing around, also searching for good mods and might even be intresteed in learning how to mod lol.
Affirmative, official servers are working like a charm! thanks.
Well, my firewall definetely isnt the problem as I just tried with my firewall off, still cant connect to any server besides my own.
How is the official server called since I doubt I can see it?
Also running the game with admins rights etc.
Yeah, same problem here with both versions, the Desura one and the standalone.
Can see 4 servers with each 1 player and varying ping.
There will be bots but not at release. Read the 'Close to Release' news post.
Sounds very good!
Thanks for the fast response and looking forward to the first release! :)
Several questions regarding the servers, gameplay and co:
1.Will there be official servers or do people host their own and open them to the public?
2.What happens to your personal ship/stuff when you log out of a server?
3.Max players per server? What number do you have in mind?
4.Can you build ships of any size you would want? Let's say a huuuuge leviathan battleship or a small brig like vessel?
5.Will ships have different types of propulsion/speed?
6.How are you? :p
Man am I getting ***** to play this...
Oh now that is smexy
Damn it, sorry for the -1 I atually meant to give a + karma point but missed the + button and hit the - lol.
And true it probably takes some time for Desura.
Ah alright, thanks a lot for the fast response! :)
Really really interesting, Im just not entirely about whats in the current version and do you have any plans to increase the graphics/animations and do you have any plans on adding some sorts of traps or something similiar in that regard?
Keep it up and defenitely tracking!
Really looking forward to this!
Now as already asked before, will we be able to pilot large battleships or even assume the role of a fleet commander or anything similiar?
I read that we will be able to pilot a Constellation Class and the Carrier but still, having a huge battleship at my disposal would be great.
Please forgive me if something like that has already been answered on some Forums or somewhere else, if so just point me towards it!
Now that is handy. Cant wait for the first releases.
Well some people just get confused with the mass of tanks and numbers out there and someone who doesnt know anything about tanks might mistake the Panzer 4 with a jagdpanzer 4.
Imagine you read an article with just some text saying the Jagdpz4 cant turn due to a stuck turret (just making up random **** right now) and then you see a Pz4 you might mistake them actually. But obviously everyone who knows a bit about tanks realizes that
Well thats something different then. The D1 is a special modifikation, from your question it sounded entirely different to me, like you asked if a basic Panther/panzer 4 could turn its turret. Then it really depends what they want this to be and Im not entirely sure if thats 100% correct since its says: "some sources state...". Time to travelback in history and steal some blueprints!
Theres shitloads of weird german tank prototypes lol. (just like Beta said). Theres even a Tiger-prototype with rear or front mounted turret which looks even way more strange xD
Yes, Panther and Panzer4 were able to turn their turrets. Even the with the armor skirts on the turret. The tank you mention is a Stug 3/4, Jagdpanzer 4 or Stuh(or anything similiar).
Ah alright, came over a bit 'agressive', might be due to my limited english ability. (No offense to anyone) :)
Well I kind of agree with him though. To my casual eyes it looks too much/big or it might just be the camera angle, I dont know. And indeed besides that it looks really good.
Oh I see what you did there :p
That just made my day xD (Im german and I can literally smell google translate in this lol)
Hey, first off I can just agree with all the people on here, really great work and the entire atmosphere feels right (even though the AI doesnt build trenches). I love how the units put on their gasmasks as soon as a gas attack is incoming and how some retreat if the odds turn against them.
Now to the odd, odd things:
- British HMG's switch/move themselves backwards into the character/gunner while firing (I mean the actual gun)
- Rifles seem oddly slim in my game, even a british webley (I assume thats the revolver/pistol) is thicker than a rifle. It looks like the rifle is too small for their hands (both british and german rifles).
- Pathfinding in trenches is quite awkward at sometimes and ladders dont work (which was probably already adressed earlier)
All in all still simply great and thanks for all of you effort! Keep it up! :)
Zee germans are already here! Yarr :p
*Thumbs up* :)
