Oh, I hope you get rid of the stupid "catch up" mechanics! If my opponent wrecks early in the race, the last thing I want to see is him passing me just before the finish line after I run an error free race.

By the way, I know PC racing games have moved away from this, but have you considered adding in "spit screen" racing? This was always my favorite feature with the early NFS series, since it allowed my sister and I to really duke it out in a fun race. Nowadays you can only find this on consoles, and I hate paying out that sort of cash for something with no practical functions.

...That was a perfectly normal dream, right? ^.^;

Seriously though, this is probably my favorite of all of the weapons so far! And the look awesome too.

Did you use Yahoo? As I mentioned, Yahoo isn't currently receiving confirmation emails (for reasons unknown). You can check the thread in the forum for updates though. Forums.taleworlds.net

Darn. I was really hoping for a good single player mod. Any know if it's possible to start a co-op game in Crysis with only one player?

So...has Fileplanet even acknowledged that they're supposed to release this? You can't find anything on their cluttered up site, so how would we know if they did release it?
It is kind of cold of them to throw you to the wolves without so much as a word though...

This was taken back in the late beta days, so I don't remember much about it anymore. Aside from some horrible lag during hilly battles, I've not had any trouble with the latest releases.

May I please ask why? Is it a burden to update this on this site? Or are there restrictions to what you're allowed to post? I don't really see the point of closing down shop here entirely.

I'll certainly bookmark your site, and I might check it every few months, but the whole reason I use this site is so that I don't need to check up on other websites. There are thousands of games and mods in production, and this site is very useful for keeping track of which ones get released and which ones whither away. Could you at least keep a skeleton profile to let the rest of us know how things are going? Or at least when/if you succeed in releasing it?

I really liked the original mod, and I was really looking forward to this one. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I was a bit disappointed. The acting and the map designs were really good (the ending area was especially nice), but the story was...very odd. I don't want to seem mean, but it didn't even feel like the same storyline.

I think if it had been better fleshed out and expanded upon then this would have been a really great mod, but as it is it just feels like the skeleton of a sequel. I'm honestly hoping that you will remake it someday.

The text is really blurry in the video, but I assume that's because of the video quality. Outside of that, the presentation is great. I love immersive mods.

In addition to what Adorno said, you should also level up tactics a bit. During larger battles it will allow you to have more men than your enemy present, or will at least reduce the number they have available.

Try and pick you battles too; you can easily take on two or three times you number number if you have the right men, but discretion is the better part of valor. If you don't think you can win the fight, there is no point in seeking it out. Your allies are no better off it you get defeated with them.

This is an awesome mod, though I had trouble getting the some of the sound clips to play. The second play through had several play that I didn't hear the first time (despite being in the same area), but it also didn't have all of the ones that played the first time through (despite my repeated efforts to trigger them). As has been mentioned, subtitles would have also been nice; the background noises and the music can make it really had to hear what's being said.

Another thing I would suggest is for the walk speed to be a bit faster. I often found myself taking the wrong path only to backtrack slowly towards where I thought I was supposed to go. Of course as it is moving too fast can cause multiple sound clips to start up, so I don't really know how you could address this without redesigning the island (which would probably be more work than is really needed).

All in all though, I loved the story and the atmosphere and I truly enjoyed playing it.

Having tried to play this game quite a bit, I have to say that it has a lot of potential. It looks great, the fighting system is fun, the items are cool and well modeled, the leveling system is fun, and the story and voice acting are pretty good.

Unfortunately, the good is kneecapped by the bad. This is the buggiest mod I have ever played for any game, and when it crashes it will require a hard reboot in order to get out of it. Worse, it tends to wipe out my save game when it crashes during a load screen so I have had to restart several times, and that just makes the intro areas really painful. I can't even bypass this by making my own save games because the mod bugs out when you do that too. I'll keep this on my watchlist in case it ever gets polished up, but currently I find it unplayable.

Personally, I don't mind if it doesn't follow the storyline exactly. As long as it has the feel, I'll be more than happy. I just wanted to point out that they were saying 'canon', not 'cannon'. ^.^;

+1 vote   mod: Fallout
Shatari Jun 21 2008 replied:

The word they are using is "Canon".
From wiktionary:
canon (Noun)
The works considered factual or official, usually within a specific franchise, which defines events, characters, etc. that are considered to have existence within the fictional universe.

If you aren't following the set story line then this isn't really a Fallout mod; it is a mod inspired by Fallout.
