I remember that when I first played with this gun in CoD:WaW I called it the "Frying Pan". Still do actually! :D
Is the texture pack in the save? It looks awesome.
awww that kinda sucks. Just kinda hope that the resource fields will be big enough (in amount of RUs) to fund a LOOOONG game (i like to draw my matches on as long as i can. It's fun toying with my enemies till one of us dies!! ^-^ ).
What source did you use? Sounds really interesting (don't know much about NV in WWII, though I did know about the Vampir) and I don't know any good sources (except wiki, but I don't want to learn how to build the damn thing at the same time XD).
But really, the Germans were ages ahead of the Allies. I love their tech. Yes some of them weren't effective, but they were new and innovative ideas that's in use to this very day (MG3 anyone?). Hell, even the way they structured their military was new, innovative and advanced, but the Russians had them beat on the Theater level.
I found a few things:
And this article about the 251 on wiki ( En.wikipedia.org ) said
"Variants were produced for specialized purposes, including with anti-aircraft guns, light howitzers, anti-tank guns and mortars or even large unguided artillery rockets, as well as a version with an infrared search light used to spot potential targets for associated Panther tanks equipped with infrared detectors."
which makes the 251 one of the first vehicles to ever use infrared tech to defeat enemies!!!! Gotta love them Germans. Hell, they're the only ones I play as on COH period cause of the units they have (Don't screw with me when I have my Nebelwerfer squads out. You'll end up hating my guts XD)
If anyone wants some other sources about the infrared thing just PM me and I'll send you some (really, WTF is everyones beef with wiki?!!).
The more appropriate one would be "Hell on wheels and tracks". XD
XD I have no words for this vid. Though I did laugh my *** off. 'Nuff said. XD
Same thing with the SdKfz. 251.
Considering that it has a saddle mag, I'm thinking handheld.
Have you tried to uninstall the mod, then reinstall it in compatibility mode (Win XP SP3), and run as admin? Also, are you running it in compatibility mode (same as when you install it, Win XP SP3) and running it as admin?
I agree with you, and what OS do you have? I also haveta know if its 32 bit or 64 bit.
Can't wait for this mod to be completed!!! WANT. NOW!!!!!
Skip ahead to 9:02, he shows how you can fire the MG-42 while standing, and the Germans DID use it like that: Youtube.com
Is that korobeiniki I hear?
Ummmm, I'm sorry, but one block in Minecraft isn't 4.5 meters in RL. That would mean that you're almost 30 feet tall. One block in Minecraft is 1 meter cubed. Or are you talking about "to put this to scale, one block is 4.5 meters cubed"?
Never mind, got it to work by re-downloading it and now I'm gonna un-install it.***NOTE*** This is JUST AN OPINION SO PLEASE DON'T FLAME ME. Also, I haven't tried the retail version so this rant/opinion piece is ONLY FOR THE MOD***/NOTE*** It's not realistic at all. Your character can't run 10 feet without running out of breath, it feels like you're sliding on ice all the time, there's no way to reload any MG, the weapon sway is set to high, your allies LOVE to run you and other allies over whenever they get inside a tank, the AI barely shoots and when they do it's always from the hip so their shots go wild all the time and the controls are near impossible to learn. If anyone wants to get a realistic WWII shooter, don't go for this mod, instead get Battlefield 2 and download the Forgotten Hope 2 mod.
WTF?!? It won't start for me! It keeps giving me errors! I DL it and installed it correctly, but it keeps giving me either runtime errors or it can't find RedOrchestra.intro or something like that! Can anyone help? I've been searching on the net but can't find anything to fix my problem. I also found a solution that WOULD help (maybe), but I can't find the ini file for the game. It's not in there!
Then please provide the link!!!!!
How about you talk to the Homeworld 2 Complex creator, and see if he can help you with the AI? I think he may help you, not to sure on it. If not, I at least hope that he'll point you to someone who can. Because I like going up against an AI, and I don't like multiplayer that much. I always end up getting my arse handed to me on a silver platter in multiplayer. XD
What's the music in the game? I have a friend that plays the guitar and he wants to learn some of them.
Thing is is that I also run it on Win 7 64 bit, but i ran into problems. Hell, now I'm running into more problems and I'm gonna reinstall the game to see if it'll get rid of it. now it's crashing EVERY single time i get into a match, online and offline. I hope it'll work fine after a fresh install. I don't know why it cropped up now, considering that I've done nothing with the game other than play it. T-T
Do this: uninstall EVERYTHING that has to do with BF2 on your pc, download CCleaner to clean out the registry and the like, then after you do that, look up on how to disable the Windows 7 UAC. Then you can install the game, patch it up, then you can install the mod. I had the same problem as you have now until i found someone who was having the same problem and he figured out what it was. Now my game is running fine. There's only one map that I can't play for some reason and IIRC its Mersa Metrue (I think that's how its spelled). Every time i try to play that it crashes on me for some reason. Just try out my suggestion and tell me how it goes.
Well I hope that you guys can figure out a way to detach and reattach it. It would add another strategic layer to the mod IMHO.
I'm having a problem with all vehicles towing artillery (like the Opel towing the Pak-40). I can't seem to get it detached. How to I do that? I looked on the forums but all I could find is that you press Alt1 and it detaches. But when I try that (and as a last ditch desperate attempt I pressed Alt-1 on the keyboard), It won't work. Also, When it detaches, can you reattach it to the truck so you can tow it somewhere else?
