McDonald's.... Pfft your lovin' Me ......................... ....................................................................... LONG LIVE THE "BGoA" ... "Boulder Guild of Assassins"
OK... Last week i was lucky enough to come across a copy of Fallout 3(F3) for the PC and i was overcome with so many emotions i came about half way to fainting... until i realised you need 1GB of Ram to run F3 on minimum settings... then i came so close to fainting i saw purple monkey dishwashers :P...
Then yesterday i happened to come into possession of 2x 512MB Ram cards for my computer and was very excited... that was until i discovered that my hard drive could not cope with 1.5 GB of ram and but only 512 MB of Ram... soo now i need to go and get a bigger hard drive and hopefully that will allow me to run and play F3.
so now i have to wait till i get paid tonight... then tomorrow afternoon i can get a 160GB (just to be sure) Hard Drive and then i will post an update on whether it woks or not... and trust me from the name of the blog you'll now if it has worked or not :]
UPDATE: according to the Fallout wiki (the vault) you only need 512MB Ram so im gonna remove the new ram and try that (fingers crossed) and now off to work for the next three hours... so i cant try it till then
2nd UPDATE: well removing the ram didnt help so im going to assume it has somethihng to do with either fallout 3, Oblivion or mostn likely bothe being on a 20GB HDD at the same time...
yes it is a very small HDD - and upon visiting the official F3 website it says i need 1GB yet somehow it ran for a few minutes with ionly 512...strange really?
here is the tech specs for my computer: (i know it is a bit low key and not exactly the best :])
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.80GHz
20GB SATA HDD
1.5 GB DDR1 RAM (2x 256MB & 2x 512MB)
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS (256MB dedicated)
Soundblast Sound Card (all i know about sound)
Whoever said that the pen was mightier.... obviuosly never encountered the Atomic Bomb :]
An Obituary printed in the London Times........ Interesting and sadly rather trueToday we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, whohas been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. Hewill be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets theworm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spendmore than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned butoverbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boycharged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspendedfrom school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired forreprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing thejob that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unrulychildren. It declined even further when schools were required to get parentalconsent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student; but couldnot inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have anabortion.Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses;and criminals received better treatment than their victims.Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from aburglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed torealize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little inher lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, byhis wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;I Know My RightsI Want It NowSomeone Else Is To BlameI'm A VictimNot many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.
Smart-Ass Comment of the Blog:
It is better to be pissed off then pissed on
Okay I have now been a member of, the ever great, ModDB, for an entire year... and what a year it's been...
it has been lots of fun being a member of the ModDB community for the past year, I've learnt so much about how games are modded and a hell of a lot about making 3d models...
so far I have 39 friends (so many more than I was expecting that I would have EVER...lol) im a member of 11 fantastic groups(also more than i was expecting), and I was part of the Staragte indie game "Gates of Atlantis" team (which has since been cancelled) where I was a 3d modeller (go figure :P)
I just wanted to write this to let people know how great this website is and how it can further your skills in mod/game production.... but mostly to say I'VE BEEN A MEMBER FOR A YEAR....
and also to introduce my new smart ass comment for the blog

This Document contains information on the proposed Orbital Tanean Corvette Shipyard Prototype (X#OTCS).
The Tanean Corvette Shipyard will Boast Eight (8) OIDT's (Orbital Ion defence Turrets), Four (4) OPDT's (Orbital Plasma Defence Turrets) and One (1) OGT (Orbital Gauss Turret) (All Concepts), and will be the First Structure to Incorporate SHDD's (Super Heavy Defence Doors) into it's design.
Below I have enclosed some concept Designs that have been created by myself and with the help of many of the scientists at "Joh-Rantin Enterpises" I plan to create this shipyard and these orbital weapons within the next two years.... then after the Prototype has been perfected we will be able to produce the Perfected OTCS in large enough numbers to turn the tide of this War in our favour.
SHDD Opening Demonstration
SOME OTHER INFORMATION ON THE "X#OTCS"
The Shipyard will run of two Nuclear Reactors, Very Similar to those that run the vast Cities throughout the Commonwealth, but will incorporate the new T-NAT Device that i believe has had considerable progress made to it in the past few weeks.
For those who are not yet aware, the T-NAT or "Tanean - Nuclear Atomizer Transformer" is a device that myself, 15 scientists from"Joh-Rantin Enterpises" or more commonly known as J-R Enterprises, and 3 scientists from the "Orbital Nuclear Robotics Division" or ONRD have been working on. For the past few years we have been trying to find a way to convert the nuclear waste made by the standard Nuclear Reactors used over a large Percentage of the Commonwealth, into a usable power source that will mean we will not have to use as much nuclear material and our ships will not have to refuel their reactors as often and will result in less radiation poisoning.
thanks to their being no gravity in space, and the advanced Gravity Pumps we have, we will be able to suspend the extremely powerful magnetic locks that open and close the SHDDS's, from 4 metre thick Petrenium Girders Re-enforced with Steel.

<[The Evil Journeyman]>
He sits there all night, silent, still on the floor
Holding his rifle, Patient staring at the door
He enters the Wasteland and summons all his strength
Darkness surrounds the traveller, before his last stand
Day after day, travelling around alone
Trigger happy, yet still calm, his skills being honed
Killing everyone he meets, leaving death in his wake
Nobody left alive to let his story break
With the perception of the strong, bold Eagle
And the reliability of a deagle
He could snipe a man from three hundred yards, with no scope
And make any ol' hunter look like a fat dope
One day he encounters a dying old nun
He sneaks around behind her to have some good fun
The old nun senses the journeyman behind her
She turns around to face him with a face full of "fur"
The Journeyman jumps back surprised as all hell
The man draws a shotgun and quick fires both shells
The journeyman lay dead shot down by a nun's ploy
Silent and motionless, broken like a children's toy
*EDIT*: Today is my first day back at school (we were meant to go back on wednesday but we get wednesdays off so yay) and i just found out that for an english assignment in a couple weeks i have to write a poem... looks like i finally got something done early ...yay! : ]
okay as some of you may have noticed from the avatar and header display..... i have become addicted to fallout... since i played fallout 3 for the first time after renting it from the video store... i went out and bought Fallout 1, 2, Tactics, and Fallout 3...
I have played fallout 1, 2, Tactics, and 3 for "ROUGHLY" a total of 100 hours and love them all, and i recommend you to buy them... but only if you love open ended games that have many choices on how to do things.. i most strongly recommend fallout 3 because of it being a FPS and having DLC's and all
(only $20 for 1, 2, and tactics.... and rouglhy $80 for Fallout 3 depending on the platform you buy it for... NOTE: these are based on Aussie prices)
I would also like to introduce to people some ship that I have have designed and made, they are part of the Tanean Defence Force (TDF), i have been creating stories about the Tanean civ and will every now and again chuck one up on moddb. i will also take suggestions as to the TDF's enemies and allies and may design some ships just for fun (dont expect too much).
Also i am currently doing year 12 so i may not be on Moddb as often, but as my homepage is set to moddb(and this wont change), my profile will say i am on every now and again but i may not be every time....
P.S. !!!!I LOVE FALLOUT!!!!
i'm not sure about other places but in WA we only just got Halo Wars and io just have to say it is friggin awesome...
it is one of the best RTS game i have ever played.... well thats pretty much all that is neede top be said.... now if you dont mind i must step back and defend my base from the covenant..... GOD DAMN GRUNTS....
well Stargate: Vengeance is off to a bumpy start but now we are running smoother but very slowly.... but if we get more support then that will give me a bit of a push and hopefully give the other team members more of a push (although Marauder76 is well on the ball and doesnt need a push).....
so if you are reading this you must head on over to the vengeance page and if you like the idea of the show then track the group and keep up to date on the next big Stargate series

Im looking for someone who can use Google Sketchup..
